6. P u b l i c C o m m e n t s 6.1 Comiiiunity member Petra Villaiiueva addressed die board and wanted to clarify a couple of issues. One was in regards to a meeting she had with Superintendent Ross on September 2. 2014 at the district office. She wanted to clarif> that she never said that she was representing the Dolores I luerta Foundation and that she was there to be the \oice of the parents. One other concerned that she had was. regarding the way the principal process had been done. 6.2 No Comments on Open Session Agenda Items 6.3 Kara Ranncy. VTA President presented the 2015-2016 Sunshine Proposal from the Vineland Teachers Association. 7. Special Recomiitions/Updates/Reports 7.1 Michelle Mailincz and Kenia Calderon. Vineland 119 students enrolled. Sunset has 107. Both Kenia and Michelle attended a conference in Camarillo. Future Fvents: Basketball Championship. Cultivating Activities and the end of the year event to be held on May 15. 2015. 7.2 Armando Carrillo- enrollment 450 and no suspensions or expulsions and getting ready for testing they v\ ill start on April 21. 2015. Registrations for kinder started this week and parents can pick up packets. Kinder students had hearing a hearing test this past week. Child Development Center visited and loured the campus, these are incoming Kindergarteners. 7.3 Mrs. Erin Gayer mentioned that they took some students on a field trip to CalPoly the trip was sponsored by PG&E and Goodwill. Sunset students also had a Blaze Baseball Game Fieldtrip. She akso explained the Girl talk event - Butlerllv I lope with their Parent/Student Lunch at El Pueblo on May 15. 2015. Mrs. Gayer gave an update on the 5th & 8th grade science testing, they were all done and tests were packaged and picked. SBAC testing starts tomorrow, April 21. 2014. She explained they would have a perfect attendance ice cream reward for SBAC I esting. One other thing Sunset Staff was e.xcited about was that f ourth grade would be visiting Sunset School after testing was complete. 8. Report from the Superintendent Superintendent Ross reported that six water stations were already installed witii cold llltered water. He mentioned that the district was the llrst school district to install the stations. All water bottles are ordered and all students and stall will get customized district logo water bottles. Report from the Board Members I rustee Ramirez reported on the Bakersficld Blaze Baseball game l ieldtrip. She says it was a great experience for the kids and thanked the district for exposing our students to different events.

Trustee Medina invited the board to attend the Winter Pereussion Competition at Prontier (ligh School on April 18. 2015. The Alliance Group is made up of Mavcn Drive Students and Sunset Students. They will also be participating in an Arvin High School raniily/community laeiit. 15. Announcements The Next Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees - Monday, May 18, 2015. 16.
