Print a copy of your payment confirmation. You will need this for your consular services (sampled below)
What You Will Need for your consular services 1. Your old passport. 2. A print out of your e-passport application. 3. A print out of your Passport Payment Slip. 4. $50 Money Order or Bank Check made payable to: Nigerian Embassy. 5. A self-addressed mailing envelope with Tracking Number (U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS) which will be used in mailing your cancelled old passport and new E-Passport back to you. 6. Copy of birth certificate for any child applying for an E-passport. Parents U.S. born minors need to submit a letter requesting for the issuance of a Nigerian passport for their child. The letter should be signed by both parents and accompanied with copies of each parents Nigerian passports as proof of the parents citizenship. What to Expect A wait time we have no way of determining how many people will arrive at any particular time. The more prepared you are the less time you will spend at the venue. You will need to submit a separate application for each child, the required fees, a copy of the child s birth certificate, and a letter signed by both parents requesting for the issuance of a Nigerian passport for their child. You will need to provide proof that the parents are Nigerian (copy of both parents Nigerian passports). Q Can my child be endorsed on my passport? A No, E-passports do not carry any child/children endorsements. Q Do I need passport pictures for an E-Passport? A No, you do not need passport pictures. Your photograph and fingerprints will be taken at your appointment. Q My passport was lost. How do I get a replacement passport? A You will need all the standard application requirements (application, payments, etc.) plus proof of original passport issuance and a police report certifying the loss of passport. Q My passport (Machine Readable Passport) is still valid for 5 years. Do I need to apply for an E-Passport? A On December 31, 2010, all current Machine Readable Passports will no longer be valid and will need to be replaced with the new E-Passport.
