1 THE CONSTITUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL MEN S MINISTRY ARTICLE I NAME AND PURPOSE Name: The name of this auxiliary shall be, The International Men s Ministry of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Incorporated. I Purpose: To promote the spirit of the Men and Young Men throughout the membership of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and to assist the International (c.c.) Organization in any profitable way in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ more effectively. (B) To assist in establishing Men s Ministry Auxiliaries throughout the organization, national and international Men s Ministry of the P.A.W. Inc. (C) To meet in session annually to evaluate various Men s programs and to render the assistance needed in promoting more effective and beneficial activities for the improvement of fellowship among the brethren throughout this organization. ARTICLE II Membership Membership may be obtained by any brother or brethren with full fellowship in their respective home assemblies and a member of the state or district council Men s Ministry if one exists.
2 ARTICLE III OFFICERS The officers of this auxiliary shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Sergeant-at- Arms. ARTICLE IV Dues and Assessments laws. The regular dues and assessments shall be as stipulated in the by (B) Eligibility for holding an office in the International Men s Ministry Auxiliary requires that all dues be paid up to date. ARTICLE V Amendments This Constitution can be amended at any annual meeting of the International Men s Ministry Auxiliary by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present that are eligible to vote. A copy of the proposed change(s) must be submitted to the Men s Ministry Secretary, in writing, prior to the opening of session. (B) The International Men s Ministry Auxiliary may adopt such by-laws deemed necessary for the orderly functioning of this organization. New By-Laws may be adopted at any time by majority vote of the eligible voting members present.
3 (C) By-Laws may be replaced at any time by two-thirds majority vote of the eligible voting members present. I Election of Officers: Each officer shall be elected by secret ballot from candidates nominated from the floor. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes from the office to which he has been nominated shall be declared the winner of that office. The procedures specified in our by-laws shall be followed in the event of a tied vote. II Taking Office: The newly elected officers shall take 30 days following the end of the International P.A. of W. Convention. They will serve that office until the next election. V Term of Office: The term of office shall be for a period of four years. Elections will be held on the annual meeting date of the fourth year. All elected officers can only serve two consecutive terms in the same office. Section V Duties of the Officers: The duties of each officer shall be those which are associated with the title for that office as stated in the By-Laws. Section VI The Executive Board: The Executive Board will consist of the President of the International Men s Ministry, the regular officers and five regional representatives elected by the members of the Auxiliary. (B) The Executive Board shall have delegation over certain matters pertinent to the welfare and best interest of the International Men s Ministry. (C) The Executive Board shall meet at the request of the International Men s Ministry President whenever there is a matter of significant importance pertaining to the orderly functioning of the International Men s Auxiliary. 4 Meetings : The International Men s Ministry Auxiliary will hold their annual meetings at the International P.A. of W. Convention of the days delegated by the International Convention Planning committee. Treasurer presents the financial report. Officers and standing committees present respective reports. Old or Unfinished Business. New Business Adjournment. RIGHTS OF MEMBERS: All members have the equal rights to an elective office and to debate issues at the annual meetings of this Men s Ministry Auxiliary, if they are in good standing with their local assemblies and councils. They must be registered with the International Men s Ministry Auxiliary and the authorized badge must be worn in all meetings. MEETINGS: Refer to Article VI;, of this Constitution. APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEES: The President shall have the power to appoint all committees. He shall appoint a Parliamentarian to interpret all rules of Parliamentary Procedure. He shall be an ex-officio member on all standing committees.
5 DUTIES OF OFFICERS: President: The President shall preside at all regular meetings of the Men s Ministry. He will have total authority over the meetings. He will rule on all issues according to Parliamentary Procedure. Vice-President: The Vice-President shall assist the President when called upon and preside over meetings in his absence. He shall act as the coordinator of work for all committees, assuring that all work assignments are accomplished. Secretary: The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the Men s Ministry. He shall read the minutes of the previous meetings at the request of the President. He shall keep a record of all business transactions made by the International Men s Ministry Auxiliary and pay all bills that are delegated by the President. Assistant Secretary: The Assistant Secretary shall help the Secretary carry out all of the duties of this office. He shall assume the duties of the Secretary in his absence. Treasurer: The Treasurer shall keep complete and accurate records showing all receipts and disbursements, which shall be open at all times to the inspection of the Executive Board and PAW. He shall provide all monies to the Treasury Office of the General PAW at the closing of all International Men s Ministry events. Expenditures shall be made only when authorized and approved by the Auxiliary President and/or quorum of the Executive Board. He shall render financial statements annually to the Executive Board and to the Treasury Office of the General PAW as required. The Treasurer shall give a copy of all business transactions to the Auxiliary Secretary during and in between the Convention sessions. Assistant Treasurer: The Assistant Treasurer shall help the Treasurer carry out all of the duties of this office. He shall assume the duties of the Treasurer in his absence. Sergeant-at Arms: The Sergeant-at Arms shall keep order and assist the President in carrying out all directed orders during the session and any assigned duties. Dues and Assessments:
6 In accordance with the PAW Minute Book and the IMMA by laws, the annual dues for the International Men's Ministry Auxiliary shall be $10 per brother and $10 per church. (B) Each Council is expected to represent with a minimum of $1000 during each National Convention. The $1000 per convention is inclusive of section above. (C) Each council men s ministry president is expected to represent with a $100.00 love offering during each national convention. Honorariums: The honorariums of the officers are as follows: President $3,000 Vice President $1,000 Secretary $1,000 Assistant Secretary $500 Treasurer $1,000 Assistant Treasurer - $500 Sergeant-at-Arms - $500 Nomination and Election of Officers: (B) (C) (D) (E) Eligibility for holding an office in the Men s Ministry requires that a member attend two annual International Men s Ministry meetings immediately prior to election. Nominations will be held the year preceding the election. Nominees must be present during the time of the nomination and election to be eligible to hold office. The presiding officer must take each office separately and ask for nominations from the floor. Vacancies resulting from death, resignation or removal from office shall be filled by Presidential appointment so that the unexpired term may be completed. If an officer in the International Men s Ministry become unqualified, due to administrative action taken by his church or council, or he becomes unfaithful to that office, he will be notified properly by the President, with the Executive Board s approval, then another qualified person will be appointed to serve in his position until the next annual meeting of the Men s Ministry.
7 Voting: In case of a tie vote, three more secret ballots may be taken. If the tie exists after the fourth ballot, two new persons may be nominated from the floor. Quorum: A quorum will consist of twenty-five members. Parliamentary Authority The authority for all rules governing the procedure of the International Men s Ministry Auxiliary according to Parliamentary Law will be taken from Robert s Rules of Order and the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
