The OWLS Club, sponsored by the City of Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department, consists of adults over the age of 55 in Rock Hill and surrounding areas. The purpose of the group is to provide quality programs and activities through social gatherings, sports, games, and daytime/overnight trips to all seniors. There is no fee to join the group, simply call or email Katie Conley and express your interest. We look forward to seeing you at our next function! October 2015 MOBILE PAINT PARTY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2015 This is the watercolor painting party you have all been waiting for! Join us on Friday, October 16 as we travel through the Blue Ridge Mountains to our destination of Crumpler/West Jefferson, NC. Enjoy a delicious meal at Shatley Springs then head out to the lake where Patti Panetti will teach her watercolor class. Experience this class in the outdoors with beautiful mountain scenery while breathing in the fresh, cool air! If time permits, we will make a couple of surprise stops on the way back home. For lunch, we will go dutch style so please bring CASH for lunch! You can order a family style meal which is $18.70 (not including tax or tip) or you can order from the menu to keep your cost down. NARROWAY PRODUCTIONS THE REAL CHRISTMAS STORY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2015 Back by popular demand - The Real Christmas Story is an OWLS Club favorite! $40 per person includes show, dinner and transportation. $35 if you provide your own transportation. The doors to NarroWay open at 6 PM. Because we had to wait for a bit the last time we visited this theater, we will plan to arrive closer to 6:15 PM. If you meet us there, please keep in mind that we will be arriving a little later than usual. We will depart at 5:45 PM from the City Hall parking lot and arrive around 6:15 PM. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM. Register with full payment no later than October 1, 2015. Seating is limited. WOHLFAHRT HAUS DINNER THEATER CHRISTMAS AT WOHLFHART HAUS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2015 Enjoy a delicious Holiday feast before you are completely immersed in the Christmas season. Our Holiday Spectacular is stuffed with all the Christmas songs you know and love as well as dazzling dance numbers and beautiful costumes. This fun-filled Holiday production also features a breath-taking Nativity which is sure to put the whole family in the Christmas Spirit. Don t miss Virginia s favorite Christmas tradition. OWLS CLUB MONTHLY MEETINGS The OWLS Club holds meetings each month in an effort to keep members informed and updated on upcoming OWLS Club programs and events in the Rock Hill area. These meetings take place the first Thursday of each month (unless a National Holiday falls on that day, in which case you will be notified of a different date) at the Mayflower Restaurant on Celanese. The meetings begin at 12:00 PM. If you wish to have lunch at the Mayflower, it is best to arrive around 11:15 AM to find a seat and order your food before the meeting begins. At these meetings, you will also have an opportunity to sign up and pay for upcoming programs. You will see tables as you enter the designated meeting section with sign up sheets and volunteers ready to help you with this process.
