10. An understanding of diverse cultures Courses that will meet this learning outcome will be available for enrollment in Spring 2017. Courses approved as meeting this learning outcome will be conducted in a seminar style format with high-impact learning pedagogy, will have an 18-person enrollment limit, and will require students to produce a substantive written assignment with revision. Thus, all sections that address this gen ed outcome require ENGL 1221 or its equivalent as a pre-requisite to support student writing.
