ORDINANCE NO. 0-1 1-2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 124 ARTICLE I ENTITLED DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONES AND ARTICLE I1 ENTITLED DRUNK DRIVING FREE SCHOOL ZONES OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HOWELL BY AMENDING THE DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE MAP IN SECTION 124-1 AND BY AMENDING THE DRUNK DRIVING FREE SCHOOL ZONE MAP IN SECTION 124-6. WHEREAS, the Township of Howell wishes to amend the Drug Free School Zone Map and Drunk Driving Free School Zone Map referenced in Chapter 124 Section 124-1 and Section 124-6 of General Revised Ordinances of the Township of Howell; WHEREAS, with the addition of the Greenville School and the Adelphia School and Howell Memorial Middle School, the Township is required to identify the locations of the boundaries of the Drug Free School Zone and Drunk Driving Free School Zone, WHEREAS, to accomplish this, it is necessary to amend the original Township map prepared for the original ordinance which delineates these areas; and BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Howell that Chapter 124 of the General Revised Ordinances of the Township of Howell is hereby amended and supplemented and shall read as follows: 1. Page 1 1 of the Map Booklet Entitled Drug Free School Zone Map and Drunk Driving Free School Zone Map is hereby amended to add Block 3, Lot 23.02, the Greenville School and amended to include Block 3 Lot 25.01 which serves as the driveway to Middle School South; and 2. An additional map, page 16, has been created in order to include Block 152, Lot 7 1 which contains both the Adelphia School and Howell Memorial Middle School; 3. Copies of the revised map and amendments thereto are annexed hereto and made a part hereof; 4. The Township Clerk is directed to forward a copy of the revised portions of this map to the County Clerk and the Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor and the Municipal Court Clerk and shall maintain a copy on file in the Clerk's office. SECTION 2. REPEALER
The remainder of all other sections and subsections of the aforementioned ordinances not specifically amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES All other Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed as to such inconsistency. SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to the section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged and the remainder of this Ordinance shall be deemed valid and effective. SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication according to law. NOTICE The Ordinance published herewith was introduced and passed on first reading by the Township Council of the Township of Howell on January 18,20 1 1 and will be further considered for final passage and adoption at the Township Municipal Building on Preventorium Road, Howell, New Jersey on February 15,201 1 at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be reached on the Agenda, at which time and place all persons interested therein shall be given an opportunity to be heard and during the week prior thereto, and up to, and including, the date of such meeting, copies of said Ordinance will be available at the Clerk's Office in the Township of Howell Municipal Building to the members of the general public who shall request same.
