Shared Government Information System for Migration The establishment of the Shared Government Information System for Migration (SGISM) is provided by law thru the Migration Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995 (RA 8042) and as amended by Republic Act 10022 which took effect in August 2010.

Shared Government Information System for Migration Under chapter XVIII, section 71 of the Omnibus Rules and Regulations Implementing the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipino Act of 1995, the Inter- Agency Committee shall be composed of the following agencies :

Shared Government Information System for Migration a. The Department of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman; b. Department of Labor and Employment, as Vice Chairman; c. Department of Justice; d. Department of Tourism;

Shared Government Information System for Migration e. Philippine Overseas Employment Administration; f. Overseas Workers Welfare Administration; g. Bureau of Immigration; h. National Bureau of Investigation; i. National Statistics Office (Philippine Statistics Authority); and j. Commission on Filipinos Overseas

Shared Government Information System for Migration Initially, the Inter-Agency Committee shall make available to itself the information contained on existing databases/files. The second phase shall involve the linkaging of computer facilities in order to allow free-flow data exchange and sharing among concerned agencies.

DOLE and other concerned attached agencies PRC, BLE, TESDA Project: DOLE Skills Data Warehouse (DSDW) for integrated verification of the general public on skills training, professional licenses, local and overseas employment

DOLE and other concerned attached agencies National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) Project: Online Case Verification Project. Data shared include case number, case title, hearing officer, status and status date.

DOLE and other concerned attached agencies OWWA Project: OFW Data Sharing for updating of OFW membership data and collection reports.

DOLE and other concerned attached agencies Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLOs) Project: DOLE s Foreign Labor Operations Information System (FLOIS) aimed at improving the management and operations of 38 POLOs abroad and provision of assistance to OFWs onsite

Other Government Agencies Bureau of Immigration (BI) Project: One-Stop OEC Validation System, a database information sharing system developed by POEA and BI to streamline departure formalities for departing OFWs

Other Government Agencies DFA, BI, OWWA, NCC, ASTI Project: Overseas Filipinos Information System (OFIS), a central database system that will provide accurate information on the number and profile as well as the whereabouts and movements of OFWs.

Other Government Agencies Department of Health (DOH) Project: Integrated Database System for the Human Resources for Health (IDSHRH). Data for sharing include OFW initials, birthdate, HRH profession, and destination country

Other Government Agencies Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Pag-Ibig Fund Project: OFW Data Sharing for updating of OFW Philhealth contribution and Pag-Ibig savings.

Other Government Agencies, General Public and Stakeholders BI, OWWA, PHILHEALTH, PAG-IBIG, TIEZA, US Embassy, POLOs Access of POEA e-verification System to view and validate authenticity and status of agencies, principals, job orders and documented OFWs.

Other Government Agencies, General Public and Stakeholders General Public and Stakeholders Through the POEA Website and Mobile App for online verification of agency license, job order, case status, MCs, bilateral agreements, POEA references on overseas employment.

DESTINATION COUNTRIES KOREA, TAIWAN, KSA, JAPAN, GERMANY, UAE Online POEA Workers Registry for the following which are primarily government to government hiring programs:
