6 Newsweek Poll Princeton Survey Research Associates International Methodology Statement (6/25/10) This poll was conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International from June 23-24, 2010. Telephone interviews were conducted with a nationally representative sample of 964 adults, 18 years and over, including 800 adults from national random digit dial (RDD) sample and an additional 164 18-44 year olds screened from national RDD sample. Results are weighted so that the sample demographics match Census Current Population Survey parameters for gender, age, education, race, region, and population density. The overall margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3.8 percentage points for results based on 964 adults. Results based on smaller subgroups are subject to larger margins of sampling error. SAMPLE SIZE/MARGIN OF ERROR FOR KEY SUBGROUPS: 294 Republicans (plus or minus 6.9) 313 Democrats (plus or minus 6.6) 297 Independents (plus or minus 6.8) In addition to sampling error, the practical difficulties of conducting surveys can also introduce error or bias to poll results.
