ST. IGNATIUS MARTYR CATHOLIC SCHOOL CONSTITUTION: ST. IGNATIUS MARTYR CATHOLIC SCHOOL ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB As Drafted September 1997, and amended August 29, 2000 PREAMBLE We, the parents and teachers of St. Ignatius, Martyr, School, realizing the importance of physical fitness in the development and health of our children; and waiting to establish an organization that fosters unity, participation, and friendship within our Catholic school community, do join together to form an athletic booster organization for the purpose of supporting our school athletic program, policies, and athletic. ARTICLE ONE NAME The name of this organization shall be St. Ignatius, Martyr, School Athletic Booster Club: The "Bobcat Boosters." ARTICLE TWO OBJECT AND PURPOSE The School's Bobcat athletic Booster program. Club is It charged shall be with responsible developing or activities ways and to means honor to the support accomplishments the of the school athletes and increase the social interaction of its members. The Bobcat Boosters shall, acting with the consent of the school administration, formulate and implement appropriate fundraising projects for the Athletic Department. The money raised by the Bobcat Booster Club may only be used for Athletic Department purposes, as determined by the Bobcat Booster Club and School Administration. ARTICLE THREE MEMBERSHIP AND DUES All parents with a child or children in the extracurricular activities of St. Ignatius, Martyr, School (volleyball, football, soccer, golf, basketball, track, and tennis) shall, after paying annual dues of $5.00 per child (payable when said child is participating in his or her initial athletic activity of the school year) be considered a member of the Bobcat Booster Club. Each teacher, the principal, and the pastor shall be members with payment of dues waived.

The amount of dues may be changed by a simple majority of voting members present at the last meeting of the school year which follows the treasurer's recommendation for such a change. All members of the Bobcat Booster Club must contribute a minimum of 10 hours per school year for each year they were a member working at fundraising or social activities sponsored by the Booster Club to earn voting privileges within the organization. These contributed hours will also count toward the yearly quota owed the school. ARTICLE FOUR PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES Parents are required to work two (2) 1-hour block shifts in the concession stand during athletic events at St. Ignatius and to work two (2) 4-hour block shifts during a Bobcat Booster sponsored breakfast. Service hours count towards the school mandatory service requirement of 20 hours (10 hours for single parents). As considered on a case-by-case basis, equal hours served in other fund-raising events sponsored by the Bobcat Boosters may be considered as meeting this requirement. If you don not fully comply with the service requirements for the Bobcat Boosters, you will be required to pay $5 per hour not completed. Payment is due prior to the date of the Academic/Athletic Banquet. Failure to comply, will result in consequences as outlined in the St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic School mandatory contract. ARTICLE FIVE OFFICERS The officer of the Bobcat Boosters shall be President, Treasurer, Secretary, Athletic Director, Promotions, Volunteer Coordinator, and Fundraising Coordinator. The officers shall be the Executive Committee. Any voting member (member who has completed 10 service hours to the Bobcat Boosters in the current school year) of the Bobcat Booster is Eligible for any office of the Bobcat Boosters.

The duties of the officers shall be as follows: (a) The President shall preside over all meetings, be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities of this organization, including making, and/or delegating the responsibility of, the purchases required for the operation of the Bobcat Boosters. The President may not serve two successive terms. (b) The treasurer will keep an accounting of all moneys made or disbursed. The Treasurer will work with the church's administrator and the school principal. The balance remaining in the Booster account at the end of June will be carried on to the following school year. (c) The Secretary will keep all records, reports and minutes of meetings held by the Bobcat Boosters and will keep an updated list of all members. (d) The Volunteer Coordinator will be in charge of soliciting volunteers for all Bobcat Booster events, and will keep a record of hours served by said volunteers. This record will be turned in to the school office in a timely manner, as well as serving as proof of hours required to be a voting member of the Bobcat Boosters. (e) The School Athletic Director is not an elected position but rather, the athletic coordinator for the school who also serves as the liaison person between the school administration and the Bobcat Boosters. (f) The Promotions officer will be responsible for coordinating the purchase and sale of t- shirts and other promotional materials to publicize and support the Bobcat Boosters. (g) The Fundraising coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and promotion of all fundraising activities. (h) In the event that an officer leaves or resigns during his term or office, the vacated positions will be filled by the Executive Committee.

Section 4. Section 5. ARTICLE SIX ELECTION OF OFFICERS All voting members of the Bobcat Boosters will be eligible to vote in the election of officers. A nominating committee composed of the incumbent president, athletic director, and two or more volunteers shall compile a list of names of members who are willing and eligible to serve as officers and assume the responsibilities of office. The nominating committee shall be formed in February of each year so that a list of nominees may be presented to the membership at the April meeting. (a) Nominations may may be be taken taken from the floor at the April the meeting. (b) Nominations may be taken up for seven days at the before last meeting of the school year in May. Elections will be held at the last meeting of the school year in May. Terms of office begin upon election so the an orderly transition of newly elected and departing officers may take place during the summer. ARTICLE SEVEN MEETINGS The Bobcat Boosters will meet every month except December of the school term: August, September, October, November, January, April, and May. Special meetings may be called. Quorum: For the purpose of transacting official business, all decisions will be made be vote; the majority of members present to avail.

Section 4. The rules of parliamentary procedure as contained in Robert's Rules of Order shall govern all meetings and deliberations of the Bobcat Booster Club. Meetings of the Bobcat Boosters will be open to all members of the Faith Community of St. Ignatius Martyr. All members present meeting the criteria of Article 3, Section 3, and whose dues to the Bobcat Boosters are paid in full will be allowed to vote on issues presented at said meeting. The right of non-executive Committee members to address the organization shall be limited to those written petition has been approved for the agenda 48 hours in advance of the meeting. ARTICLE EIGHT AMENDMENTS AND BY-LAWS Amendments to the constitution must be presented at a scheduled meeting and voted on by secret ballot. A two-thirds majority of members present will be necessary to amend the constitution. By-laws to the constitution must be presented at a scheduled meeting and voted on via a secret ballot. A simple majority of members present meeting the criteria in Article 3, Section 3, and whose dues to the Bobcat Boosters are paid in full will be necessary to add, delete, or amend bylaws.
