Tecumseh Local Schools Page 3 ADOPTION OF CONSENT CALENDAR PERSONNEL, ITEMS A-D ADOPTION OF CONSENT CALENDAR ADMINISTRATIVE Action by the Board of Education in Adoption of Consent Calendar at this point of the agenda means that Items E through I are adopted by one single motion unless a member of the Board or the Superintendent requests that any such item be removed from the Consent Calendar and voted upon separately. E. Curriculum Adoption The board is requested to approve the adoption of McGraw Hill s Wonders program to be the K-5 ELA/Reading curriculum. F. Middle School Math Intervention Fee The board is requested to approve a $20.00 fee for middle school students who participate in ALEKS online Math Intervention, as presented. G. Resolution to Align with Clark County ESC The board is requested to approve the following resolution, as presented. RESOLUTION TO ALIGN WITH CLARK COUNTY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code 3313.843 provides that the board of education of each city, exempted village or local school district with an average daily student enrollment of 16,000 or less, must enter into an agreement with the governing board of an educational service center, under which the educational service center shall provide services to the district [1] ; and WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code 3313.843 provides that the board of education of a city, exempted village, or local school district with an average daily student enrollment of more than 16,000 may enter into an agreement with the governing board of an educational service center under which the educational service center shall provide services to the district [2] ; and WHEREAS, any agreement entered into under 3313.843 shall be filed with the Department of Education by the first day of July of the school year for which the agreement is in effect [3] ; and WHEREAS, the Tecumseh Local School District Board of Education (hereinafter, the Board of Education ) has an average daily student enrollment less than 16,000; and

Tecumseh Local Schools Page 4 WHEREAS, the Board of Education desires to enter into an agreement with the Clark County Educational Service Center ( ESC ) to be in compliance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.843 and to provide services including, but not limited to any of the following: supervisory teachers; in-service and continuing education programs for district personnel; curriculum services; research and development programs; academic instruction for which the governing board employs teachers pursuant to section 3319.02 of the Revised Code; assistance in the provision of special accommodations and classes for students with disabilities; or any other services the district board and service center governing board agree can be better provided by the service center and are not provided under an agreement entered into under section 3313.845 of the Revised Code; and WHEREAS, services included in the agreement shall be determined by the Superintendent on behalf of the Board of Education and shall be provided to the district in the manner specified in the agreement; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the Tecumseh Local School District that: SECTION I The Board of Education, in compliance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.843, hereby authorizes and approves the Agreement with the Clark County Educational Service Center for the provision of services. Foundation deductions shall include the amount of per pupil deduction by ADM plus supervisor/extended service deduction allocated to all participating districts by ADM of personnel reported to Ohio Department of Education. This formula shall be superseded by any new formula adopted by the State Board of Education for the fiscal year in which services are performed. The effective date of this agreement is July 1, 2017. This agreement shall be effective until terminated by either the Tecumseh Local School District Board of Education or the Clark County Educational Service Center by giving the other party written notice in advance of the termination date according to state law. Conditions of this agreement are subject to appropriate funding to the Clark County Educational Service Center to render said services. SECTION II IT IS FOUND AND DETERMINED that all formal action of this Board of Education concerning or related to the adoption of this Resolution was adopted in an open meeting of this Board, and all deliberations of this Board that resulted in such formal action were adopted in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Ohio Revised Code. Set Special Meeting Date and Time The board is requested to set July 31, 2017 as a special meeting date for the purpose of a joint meeting with local community officials and any other district business that may legally come before the board. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Smith Park Shelter House in New Carlisle.

Public Notice The board is requested to authorize and direct the Treasurer to place the following notice in the Springfield News Sun no later than May 25, 2017, which will read substantially as follows: PUBLIC NOTICE The Tecumseh Local School District Board of Education hereby gives public notice in accordance with Section 3307.345 of the Ohio Revised Code that Jeannine Camp, who was previously employed by the Board of Education as a bus aide, is retired and seeking re-employment with the Tecumseh Local School District in the same position following her service retirement and that Mary Jane Kottmyer, who will be retired from the District as a secretary and seeking re-employment with the Tecumseh Local School District in the same position following her service retirement. The Board of Education will hold a public meeting on the issue of reemploying the above-named persons at a meeting to be held on June 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Arrow Conference Room in Tecumseh High School, located at 9830 W. National Rd., New Carlisle, Ohio. J. Classified and Administrative Employee Stipend The board is requested to approve a 1% stipend for any classified and/or administrative employee that did not receive a step increase for 2016-17. This stipend is to be based on their 2016-17 contractual salary and based on completion of their 2016-17 contract year. ADOPTION OF CONSENT CALENDAR ADMINISTRATIVE, ITEMS E-J FINANCIAL K.
