In our case the course of study will be; France in Revolution, 1789-1905 Internally assessed

40 marks 20% of A Level History Year Plan - Year 12 JB WR HT1 HT2 Component 3 NEA France in Revolution 1789-1914 We begin studying the content that will form the basis for the coursework unit. We will revisit this component throughout the next two years Component 1 - Stuart Britain and the Crisis of Monarchy 1603-1702 - Overview We form an overview of the period we will be studying for the next two years and we begin to develop our historical skills Component 3 NEA France in Revolution 1789-1914 We begin studying the content that will form the basis for the coursework unit We will revisit this component throughout the next two years 1900 1945 - Overview We form an overview of the period we will be studying for the next two years and we begin to develop our historical skills

HT3 Focus on specific historical debate and source questions We will investigate the factors behind the collapse of Liberal Italy and Mussolini s rise to power Focus on specific historical debate and source questions We will investigate the factors that lead to the outbreak of Civil War in 1642

HT4 Focus on specific historical debate and source questions We will explore how Mussolini was able to build a dictatorship in by 1926 and sustain it into the 1930s We look at the features of Mussolini s Italy; Economy, Society, Culture Focus on key historical debate and source questions We will investigate the factors that lead to the execution of the King in 1649. Year 13 HT1 We explore the factors that lead up to the restorations of the King in 1660 and the explore the problems he faced in the beginning of his reign up to 1678 Component 3 NEA Students work on achieving the best possible pieces of coursework NEA is submitted HT2 We review the nature of Mussolini s Italy We begin investigating Mussolini s foreign policy We begin with the Exclusion Crisis and follow events up to the Glorious Revolution Final Deadline for NEA

HT3 We explore the Glorious Revolution and its aftermath in particular the creation of the Military Fiscal State 1900 1945 We look at Mussolini s foreign policy and its contribution to his eventual downfall HT4 We overarching themes of Stuart Britain We explore the key themes of the Study

HT5 Revision of Component 2 Particular emphasis on concepts such as liberalism, extremism, Fascism and authority. Students to reflect on the reasons for political change, the interaction of economic and governmental developments and the factors, which promote and sustain dictatorship. External Examination Revision of Component 1 focusing on the following key questions; How far did the monarchy change? To what extent and why was power more widely shared during this period? Why and with what results were there disputes over religion? How effective was opposition? How important were ideas and ideology? How important was the role of key individuals and groups and how were they affected by developments? External Examination
