Government has sanctioned additional compensation three times the value land acquired to the persons whose lands have been acquired and claims have been settled by the Special Land Acquisition Officer (SLAO) or by any Court under the provisions Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central 1 1894) in respect Mopa Airport Project. In some cases additional three times compensation amount sanctioned by the Directorate Civil Aviation could not be disbursed as the Directorate received intimation from the relatives that the party to whom the additional three times compensation has been sanctioned has expired. In order to disburse such additional three times compensation amount to the legal heirs following procedure shall be followed: 1. Additional three times compensation will be released to the legal heirs based on inventory proceedings produced by the claimant/s or; Suggestions are welcomed on e-mail: dir gpps.goa@nic.in 1901

2. In the absence inventory proceedings, the claimant/s has to produce deed succession. If all the successors as per the succession deed submit the claim then the compensation amount to be released to all the legal heirs. In case the claim is not by all the successors mentioned in the succession deed then the compensation amount is to be released on pro-rata basis, or; 3. In case the claim is based on the Will the deceased following procedure is to be followed: (i) A public notice as issued by the Directorate Civil Aviation shall be published in the two local news papers (one in Devnagari and one in English) at the cost the applicant seeking objections if any within a period 15 days publication. The applicant shall produce the copy the newspaper advertisement to the Directorate Civil Aviation. (ii) Genuinety and validity the Will shall be ascertained by sending the same to the authority where the Will is registered. 4. In case the amount compensation claim is upto 2.00 lakhs and claimant is unable to produce any the above documents mentioned in Para (1) or (2) or (3) above, the Director after verifying following documents subject to his satisfaction pass an appropriate order disbursement compensation: (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) Death certificate the deceased. Self-declaration about legal heirs. Birth/Marriage certificate all the legal heirs for establishing relation with the deceased. Independent affidavit from third party certifying the details given in the self-declaration. Photo identity. Indemnity bond in the format prescribed by Law Department. (vii) (viii) Any other document required on case to case to basis. Local enquiry report from the Mamlatdar. 5. In all the cases indemnity bond shall be obtained as per format approved by the Law Department. Department Labour Inspectorate Factories and Boilers Notification VI/FAC-6(L-1)Part-1/IFB-2017/3672 Whereas, the draft rules, namely, the Goa Factories (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2017 which the Government Goa proposed to make in exercise the powers conferred by section 112 the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act No. 63 1948) so as to further amend the Goa Factories Rules, 1985 were pre-published as required by section 115 the said Act, vide Notification No. VI/FAC-6(L-1)Part-1/IFB-2017/2311 dated 14-9-2017 the Inspectorate Factories and Boilers, in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 25 dated 21-9-2017, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby before expiry forty-five days from the date publication the said Notification in the Official Gazette; And whereas, the said Official Gazette was made available to the public on 21st September, 2017. And whereas, no objections or suggestions are received from the public on the said draft Rules by the Government within the stipulated period. Now, therefore, in exercise the powers conferred by section 112 the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act No. 63 1948) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government Goa hereby makes the following rules so as to further amend the Goa Factories Rules, 1985, namely: 1. Short title and commencement. (1) These rules may be called the Goa Factories (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment rule 6. In rule 6 the Goa Factories Rules, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Rules ), (i) in sub-rule (2), for the Schedule, the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely: SCHEDULE Scale fees payable for licence and annual renewal licence by Factories Quantity H. Amendment rule 9. In rule 9 the principal Rules, (i) in sub-rule (1), for the words five years, the words ten years shall be substituted; (ii) in sub-rule (2), (a) in clause (a), for the words five years, the words ten years shall be substituted; (b) in the second proviso, for the words five years, the words ten years shall be substituted. 4. Amendment rule 143. In rule 143 the principal Rules, after sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely: (2A) Information sent under sub-rule (2) shall be accompanied by a treasury receipt or an invoice for book adjustment, as the case may be, for payment the fees due to be paid, if any, till the date closure and a declaration stating that there is no presence hazardous chemicals in the premises the closed factory or the said hazardous chemicals have been shifted/disposed f in accordance with the relevant rules in force..
