From the PSC By-Laws3.3 VACANCIES IN OFFICE AND DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY, paragraph H. In the event any officer is unavailable for a meeting said Officer may delegate a temporary replacement or may have any other member of the Board of Directors give their respective report and/or perform the duties of said Office. (Please note at BOD meetings, only voting board of directors are allowed to vote, though membership may partake in discussion prior to voting on a motion. A motion must be put forth by a Voting Board Member, and 2 nd by a voting Board Member in order for a vote to take place. The President only casts tie-breaking votes. See above for listing of voting Board Members. All Board Meetings are open to the Membership II. Review of Meeting Minutes of last meeting September 207 Motion by YA, second by JS to approve the previous Meeting Minutes was approved, by a vote 9-0-0. Minutes approved as submitted and/or corrected. III. Unfinished Business from Last Meeting:. PSC ICYSL web page we need one now that we have teams in this league October: Chuck needs to create an information page for the club website. Chuck will ask Keith to review prior to posting. Discussed ICYSL schedule. November: Tabled December: Motion by Yasmeen, 2 nd by Tom Roberts to add an appointed board member (by the President) to the board of directors VP of ICYSL Teams. Vote -0, motion passed. It was agreed to offer the ICYSL teams a $200 rebate from the Fall Seasons which can be applied to the Winter 5v5 League. January: Chuck to create web page content February: Chuck provided Keith with a draft and will provide the draft to the rest of the Board. March: Chuck provided draft to Board April: No changes suggested, so Chuck to provide content to MM and GS (sent on 5/6). May: Tabled. June: Discussed issues with ICYSL. Our teams have had a good experience. July: Anthony received access to enter the page. Tabled. August: Chuck to send Anthony the web page content. September: Tabled October: On the Piscataway Soccer club website, there is a link to ICYSL s website and under instructional soccer, there is an ICYSL section. Anthony Jones is redoing the website to flow smoother. 2. Coach / Manager Handbook Discussed need to UPDATE our Coach handbook. Existing handbook is on line under the title Coach Ethics. Discussed need to provide a mentor to every new coach Discussed need to meet with parents at tryouts Discussed need to meet with parents at new team practices December: Tabled January: Tabled February: Tabled March: Tabled April: Tabled May: Tabled until the summer. September: Jeff to e-mail the first part of the handbook which is 2 documents. Chuck to work with Mike on the second part and get that out as well. October: The coach / manager handbook was sent out in September and Mark is keeping a hard copy of the handbook. 3. Coaching Class Chuck is looking to schedule the class in Early December: Room F0 on 2/ and 2/8 and the turf field on Sunday, 2/3 and 2/0. Anthony Gym, in case of inclement weather. F0 only available 2/ and 2/5 Turf Field and Anthony Gym are available 2/7. September: Chuck is looking at alternative classrooms and reserved Patton Cafeteria A on 2/8 and 2/5 and Turf / Anthony Gym on 2/0 and 2/7. E-mail to all coaches was sent on 0/2/7. October: Nothing to discuss as this is all set. IV. New Business:. Piscataway Soccer Club / USA flyers: Mariya Zia approved on 0/3/7 and Mark L to distribute, 28 per bundle and the following bundles is needed per school. Eisenhower 22, Grandview 27, Knollwood 22, Randolphville 25, Arbor 23, King 23, Conackamack 23, Schor 26 and Quibbletown 27. October: This was an FYI. 2. MNJYSA and GotSoccer points: MNJYSA has made arrangements with GotSoccer to award GotSoccer points for MNJYSA games for the 207-8 seasons. These points will ONLY apply to U and older teams. To be awarded points, each U and older MNJYSA team will need to ensure they have registered for the MNYJSA GotSoccer event. Each interested team will also have to report scores to the GotSoccer event in addition to MNJYSA. Please note: ) there is NO CHARGE to register for this event. 2) Participation is optional. If you do not care about GotSoccer points for your club or a specific team, you do not need to do anything. 3) This will not apply to U0 and younger teams. 4) Spring only teams will be eligible. Flight 3 and up? October: Discussion with the end consensus being there is no point for Piscataway teams. 3. Bill Griffith, Board of Ed grounds crew: Bill Griffith has received complaints about people parking on the grass at Conackamack. October: The main issue is that there is no stagger between games and between am to pm is the busiest time at Conackamack. We are now allowing parents to park in the U at Conackamack and down Rivercrest Drive as long as drive-ways are not blocked. JW to handle liaison with Piscataway Police. 4. Moving coach led practice to Riverside Park: 6pm to 9:30pm Monday through Wednesday and Friday starting 0/23/7. October: All coach-led practices can be moved over to Riverside Park effective Monday, 0/23/7. JS to send e-mail to all coaches. V. Reports of Officers. Saturday, September 23 rd incident between the coaches of the Piscataway Rovers (Coach Ian) and Piscataway Barcelona (Coach Rod Silva) When Coach Rod asked what team this is to determine who he was playing; Coach Iain made an attempted joke The winning team which turned into game long hostilities. Instructional VP, Joe Wojtowicz sent an e-mail dated 9/24/7 requiring both coaches to acknowledge S.A.G.E. and the NJ Model Code of Conduct Law. This is Coach Rod Silva s 2 nd infraction of the Model Code of Conduct. There is a request he be removed as a coach and banned from coaching if a 3 rd incident occurs. UPDATE: Both coaches acknowledged they were warned their behavior was in violation of the model code of conduct and SAGE. Attached are the official e-mails sent to Coach Rod Silva and Iain. In an e-mail dated, 0/6/7, Coach Iain said he would be resigning from coaching at the end of the fall season. He commented that Coach Silva s foul, abusive, misogynistic language and acts on 9/23 were and are sufficient grounds for dismissal. October: Discussion. 2. Sunday, September 24 th game between Piscataway Pride and NJ Wildcats Referees allowed 2 NJ Wildcat players to play in the game after arriving near the end of the third quarter based on the player passes were presented at the beginning of the game. Players should not have been allowed to play after the start of the second half. October: Discussion 3. Mt. Olive coach court report To be secured by Kyle and then to be forwarded by Mike Majorczak to EDP and NJYS. 4. Real Madrid follow up- The team met with Dr. Gray who gave homework to the parents and it went very well. Suggestion to give Dr Gray 0-5 minutes at the next coach s meeting. V.
