FROM OUR PRESIDENT LEO BRADLEY Happy New Year to all members and friends! Hope that you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday break but the celebrations don t stop there. We will have our New Year celebration party at the dining room and courtyard of the Theatre on Saturday 25 th January. It will be a fun way to start the theatrical year and to catch up on holiday stories. 2014 is shaping up to be another cracking year for VPs, with a world premiere of the updated version of Ray Lawler s Other Times and an Australian premier of the musical James Joyce s The Dead. Our other two main productions are at opposite ends of the dramatic spectrum, the brilliant British comedy Habeas Corpus and the gripping American drama Rabbit Hole. There will be plenty of roles on stage and back stage for these productions. There is also a lot of interest in developing our monthly entertainment. We have shown last year that great things are possible, and I encourage you all to make the effort to come along to our monthly entertainments to see what amazing talents are being developed in our company. On a personal note, this will be my final month as President, and I would like to thank all of you for your support over the past years. Special thanks to the many members of the who have worked with me during the time, and I must mention Trevor Bond who volunteered to be editor of the Proscenium and has done such a great job of keeping you all informed. Just a reminder that the AGM will be on Wed 29 th January and there are plenty of opportunities for you to continue the work of Villanova Players, by taking up a role on the Management or the Casting Committees. Please think seriously about nominating or accepting nomination.
