Overview This user s guide intrduces the database and prvides the basic prcedures t begin yur search. In this user s guide, the user will learn the basic features f the SDG Data Prtal n accessing and dwnlading data. SDG Data Prtal: http://data.unescap.rg/sdg/ SDG Data Prtal main page 1

Hw t access data Yu can brwse, tabulate and dwnlad data fr SDG indicatrs cntained in the database. Navigate thrugh the 17 SDGs and SDG Glbal Database t select the indicatr f yur chice. 1. Accessing the Database: Click n Get Data n the main page. 2. Data series ffer 17 SDGs and SDG Glbal Database: click n each SDG t access the database. 3. Targets Selectin: On the left clumn, there are targets t be selected: Click n t expand it; Select target f yur chice. 2

Data Series Selectin: After selecting the indicatr, available data series will pp up in the Data Selectrs clumn: Select data series f yur chice r; Click Select All r Clear All t select r clear all data series. 5. Cuntries / Regins / Aggregate: Cuntries, regins and aggregate can be selected n the right clumn: Click n Regin name t expand it; Select cuntries f yur chice; Yu can als select cuntries, regins r aggregate f yur chice r click Select All r Clear All t select r clear all series; See Annex fr detailed cuntry and reginal grupings. 3

Outputting yur data Yu can select and frmat utputs f yur chice after selecting targets and data series. 1. 2. Selected Data Optins: Prvides yu with summary f data selectin: Yu can remve yur selectin by clicking n X fr each data series; Yu can click n Get Data t get data table. 3. Metadata: after clicking n Get Data, Metadata buttn will pp up and yu can view Metadata. Yu can als dwnlad Metadata by clicking n Dwnlad Metadata. Metadata describes hw and when and by whm a particular set f data was cllected. ESCAP Online Database Metadata prvides infrmatin abut definitin, aggregatin, data surce, data surce descriptin, last update date, related metadata dcuments and related SDG indicatr. Data Table: Data table will appear as selectin in Output Optins: A search bx help user t navigate thrugh the table; Hide/Shw paginatin at the bttm f the table t undivide/divide a table int distinct pages; Yu can click n this buttn t exprt data table. Data can be exprted in varius frmats including JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, SQL and MS-Excel. 5. Graph: Graphs will appear fr each cuntry selectin.
