Please notify me of any corrections and these will be amended in subsequent releases. Data Sources: THE 2001 VOTE The vote share for all parliamentary candidates in the June 7 th 2001 general election were derived from the results listed at news.bbc.co.uk. From Pippa Norris The British Parliamentary Constituencies Database,1992-1997 THE 1992 VOTE. Information about the notional 1992 vote under the new boundaries is based on Colin Rallings and Michael Thrasher Media Guide to the New Parliamentary Constituencies (BBC/ITN.PA News/Sky). DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE. Information about the demographic characteristics of seats is based on Census Date for the New Parliamentary Constituencies in England and Wales: Constituency Data Research Paper 95/94-II (September 1995 House of Commons Library). The Acorn classification of seats has been generously supplied by CACI Limited. This updates the 1990 Census data based on population estimates for the year 2000. The information was listed in the constituency profiles published by the Daily Telegraph at electiondata.telegraph.co.uk. More details about their methodology can be found at www.caci.ac.uk.
