Meeting was brought to order by President Andy Walther. Seventeen SEWCC members were in attendance. SECRETARY S REPORT Newsletters will cease in April to all unpaid members. No other news to report since there was no February Board Meeting. TREASURER S REPORT 2005 Dues should be paid no later than April 1 st to the Treasurer. 2005 Annual Membership with mailed newsletter $45 plus $10.00 annual Car show raffle prize or 2005 annual Membership with electronic email newsletter $30 plus $10.00 annual Car show raffle prize This would be a good time to check you membership details on the web site for accuracy. Email the webmaster or secretary editor any updates. There are no outstanding bills at this time. Approved as read. ADVERTISING REPORT No Report NOTES OF BUSINESS 1 st - Advertising position filled by B.J. Messier.

2 nd - Vice President position filled by Walt Powell. 3 rd - 2005 Car Show discussion: A - A list of Car Show responsibilities was passed around for signup. B - A new classification for C6 will be added to show. C - Discussion on car show parking arrangements - Walt Powell suggested putting the steel/.modified steel classification closer to the main road on the grassy area for expansion. More and more modified steels are being entered yearly. Walt will draft up a Parking Diagram for the next business meeting, April 3 rd @ Ron s. D Voting will be held on April 3 rd, 7:00PM at the monthly Business Meeting @ Ron s Place regarding members showing cars at this years 2005 Car Show. Cast your vote as to whether or not it be left up to the discretion of the member if they want to show their car for voting on or just for viewing. Those entering their car for viewing will be able to place a placket in the car window stating This car has been entered for viewing purposes only. E The topic as to whether entrants with cars for viewing purposes only be charged a registration fee or not was brought up. Registration would be easier if everyone were charged entrance fees, as this Car Show is the main source of raising monies for the club. This will also be voted on at the April 3 rd Business Meeting. F Those unable to attend the April 3 rd Business Meeting may vote absentee by emailing their vote to President, Andy Walther @ Andrew.Walther@hecl.com plus a copy to Secretary/Editor, MaryAnn Messier @ messier@quixnet.net. No later than midnight April 2 nd, 2005. Meeting closed with a motion by Andy Walther and seconded by Connie Krueger. MARCH MEMBERSHIP MEETING Meeting brought to order with a motion by Kim Manna, seconded by Walt Powell. Board meeting minutes did not have to read as they had just been discussed at the meeting preceding this. QUARTERMASTER S REPORT Tom reported 2005 Car Show Logo new tricolor design concept of purple, red and black was in progress. This design will be posted on the website to be voted on at the April meeting. Sweatshirts, tank tops and t-shirts in ash color with logo on front will be sold at the Car Show as in the past. B.J. and MaryAnn reported that the Chevy/Vette fest held at McCormick Place, March 12 & 13 had fewer vendors, participants and general public then in the past. The low attendance could be due to the fact that the promoters have the show for sale. The Annual Bowling Party held Saturday, February 19 th with dinner at Scores Bar had 13 members. After dinner 8 members made it to the bowling lanes. A good time was had by all. Scott Schneider won first place with a very good bottle of wine by Boone s Family (yum yum), Andy Walther placing second and Jeannie Schneider receiving a t-shirt (from what I hear, a stretchy one). NEW BUSINESS Sue Walther and Mary Schlehlein have both undergone surgery this past month. Get Well wishes have been sent. A Dust Off You Car run on May 7 th is being organized and will be discussed more at the April meeting. Walt is checking to see what the club could give to the VA Home in Union Grove. Walt also mentioned the Splash and Dash Plunge into Lake Michigan on News Day. The club voted approval on this at the February meeting. Jeannie Schneider volunteered to find a contact for families in the Racine/Kenosha area wife military members in Iraq needing financial assistance that the club could donate to. Club members need to start soliciting for Silent Auction donations. A flyer with a Thank You for the donation to be drafted up and presented at the April meeting. Bloomington Gold Show being held at Pheasant Run, St. Charles, IL June 24, 25, and 26 th. Great show. Try not to miss it. Neuman Homes in Wisconsin would like a few volunteer corvette owners to display their car for a block wide showing in the Kenosha/Racine area. A concern was for the protection of the corvette from scratches, dents and general public lack of knowledge and respect for the owners pride in the car.

Call Connie Krueger is anyone is interested in driving to Morris IL (South/West) for a block car show being held once a month. Summer Vacation Trip: The summer vacation trip for the SEWCC will be to Vettes on the Rockies, Summit County. CO, July 28 th -31 st. (similar function to the one the group attended in South Dakota last year). Cost for Vettes On the Rockies is $169.00/couple. This can be viewed at www.lgcacorvette.org Lodging is at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, CO.(www.beaverrun.com). There are rooms at special prices for participants. Anyone wanting to join the club members who are going should sign up soon. Group will leave on Tuesday, July26 and drive to Kearny, NB. Will continue to Beaver Run Resort the next day. More details to follow. Patti Powell is checking on a run in September to Door County, WI and back through the Dells. Further details later. A motion was made by Laurie Andrekus to find out the Mission Statement of the club, if the club has one or not, and if not, to draft one up and bring it up for vote at the April Business Meeting. A good mission statement should accurately explain why your organization exists and what it hopes to achieve in the future. Motion was seconded by Connie Krueger. No further business, motion made by Andy W. and seconded by MaryAnn M. to adjourn the meeting. A note by the Secretary on the above matter: On September 12, 1973 the Secretary of State of the State of Wisconsin, certified that articles of Incorporation were filed in his office under the provisions of Chapter 181 of the Wisconsin Statutes, WITHOUT STOCK AND NOT FOR PROFIT, forming Southeastern Wisconsin Corvette Club Incorporated, (SEWCC, Inc.) the purpose for which was to organize and promote fellowship and social contact among Corvette owners..
