RECOMMENDATION: Discontinue site plan amendment for a private school in a retail area. ISSUES: None. SUMMARY: This is a review of a site plan amendment permitting a private martial arts school in a retail area just south of the intersection of 23 rd Street South and South Clark Street. The school closed several years ago. Therefore, it is recommended that the site plan amendment be discontinued. DISCUSSION: The County Board approved the subject site plan amendment for a private school in a retail space in December 1996. Since the last review in December 2000, the school has ceased operation.
