Resolution Authorizing Temporary Borrowing in an Amount Not to Exceed $10,000,000 Pursuant to Section 67.12(80(a)1, WIS STATS Resolution to Award the Sale of Tax Revenue Anticipation Bonds to the lowest responsible bidder based on the result of bids taken on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. INFORMATION: The District issues a short-term Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note (TRAN) each year to bridge the timing gap between fiscal year revenues and expenditures. During the first half of the fiscal year, expenditures far outpace revenues, creating a temporary cash shortfall. The TRAN corrects this timing problem. In the second half of the fiscal year, revenues outpace expenditures and the TRAN is then paid off. The borrowing will be bid on Tuesday, September 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. The low bid will be presented to the Board for award at the regular meeting that evening. PMA will serve as the Financial Advisor for this sale. Bond counsel will be Quarles & Brady. (Note: When investors bid on bonds it is generally expected that the award will be announced and approved by the authorizing entity (the school board) within 24 hours of the bid. This is why the bond sale takes place on the morning of the school board meeting. Therefore, the results are not available to be included in the Board meeting packet). Bid Results from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 [PENDING] A draft copy of the resolution is attached. ACTION: Award the $10.0 Million Tax Revenue Anticipation Note to the low bidder: at a Net Interest Cost of. DATE: 09/20/11
