I have run my dockets fairly, efficiently and with respect to all. In cases where the facts, circumstances and prior history require, I have held people responsible and accountable for their actions, even when it was not popular. I believe that before asking the voters of Marion County for the privilege of serving as a judge, a person must have given back and served the community. For decades, I have been involved in community service. My family is involved in community service. Not only does this help those in need, but it helps me know the issues facing people in my home town. The thing I have found the most rewarding as a judge is supervising the DUI Court, an intensive outpatient treatment court with judicial supervision. The DUI Court is for repeat DUI offenders and others with significant alcohol and/or substance abuse problems. DUI Court helps change lives, and I know for a fact that DUI Court has saved lives. 1
