PA FBLA s Big 33 program is designed to recognize chapters and members for the volunteer hours they have committed in school and in the community. Guidelines 1. Community service hours may be claimed between March 1, 2013, and February 28, 2016. 2. Only hours for which the volunteer is unpaid may be claimed. 3. Volunteer hours may be claimed for service performed in the schools and in the community. 4. All hours must be recorded daily on the specially designed forms found in the downloadables section of the PA FBLA website. There are 36 forms one for each month starting with March 2013. The forms are spreadsheets, and all hours to be considered must be submitted on the forms. Members may enter data only in the yellow colored areas of the spreadsheet. 5. All forms must be submitted to the chapter adviser monthly. The due date of the forms to the adviser is listed on each month s spreadsheet. 6. The maximum number of hours able to be claimed in one day is 24. No longer will generic items such as Summer of 2013 be acceptable. 7. See the document titled examples of service activities for ideas on the type of activities that can be claimed for the Big 33 club. 8. Advisers are to make quarterly submissions of service forms to the state office, and they are to use the attached quarterly submission form.
