Ionizing Radiation Privileges Endorsement 26 V.S.A. 525. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS OF LICENSEES person licensed by the board shall apply ionizing radiation to human beings for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes without first having satisfied the board of his or her competency to do so. The board shall consult with the board of radiologic technology concerning suitable performance standards to be adopted by rule. The board shall, by rule, provide for periodic recertification of competency. Section D: Continuing Education Requirement You are not required to send any supporting documentation with this form if you renew by the license expiration date. The Office of Professional Regulation reserves the right to verify information submitted by applicants for renewal through a random audit. You must retain all documentation for seven years after completion of the program/course. To assist you in documenting your continuing education, please download the Continuing Education Record from our web site at www.vtprofessionals.org. If you are renewing more than 30 days late, you must submit all CE documents with your completed renewal form. 26 V.S.A., 534(c) License Renewal and Reinstatement (c) In addition to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, an applicant for renewal shall have satisfactorily completed continuing education as required by the board. For purposes of this subsection, the board may require, by rule, not more than 24 hours of approved continuing education as a condition of renewal. Chiropractic Administrative Rules, 5.2 Exemption for Applicants Granted an Initial License to Practice by the Office There is no continuing education requirement before the first license renewal. For the subsequent renewals, the licensee must complete and document 24 hours of continuing education. The Board recommends, but does not require, continuing education for initial licensees during their first licensing period. Continuing Education Requirement (Check the box that applies to your license.) My Chiropractic license was first issued in Vermont on or after 10/01/2010; therefore I do not have to complete Continuing Education for this renewal cycle (0 hours). My Chiropractic license was first issued in Vermont prior to 10/01/2010; and I have completed 24 hours of continuing education. I have NOT met the continuing education requirement (CE extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances for good cause shown upon written request with a completed renewal form and fee submitted prior to the expiration date.)
