State Legislative Tracking What is StateTrack?

State Legislative Tracking What is StateTrack? StateTrack is NACDL s legislative tracking system that tracks pending legislation and regulations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. NACDL is currently tracking 26 issue areas and over 1100 pieces of state legislation, including (but not limited to): asset forfeiture, discovery reform, eyewitness identification, interrogation reform, restoration of rights, post-conviction relief and sentencing reform. Custom legislative tracking reports are available by state or issue area. NACDL is able to provide legislative tracking in your state!

Legislative Action Alerts What is CQ Engage? CQ Engage is NACDL s online grassroots advocacy tool that enables the association to send out targeted state and federal legislative and regulatory action alerts. Legislative Action Alerts NACDL Take Action Website Get Action Alerts: this is how to sign up to receive NACDL legislative action alerts.

Legislative Action Alerts Sample Federal Alert Subject and message to elected officials automatically populates. Advocate is able to modify subject and message. On the right of the screen, you will find the designated recipient. You will need to add your name to the closing and review or enter your contact information. Remember to check Email Opt-In. Once you click submit, your message will go to your legislator. It s that easy!

Legislative Action Alerts Benefits Increased Advocacy! Through Engage, NACDL can provide our affiliates and allies with an effective grassroots tool to reach supporters. The take action website allows people to contact their federal, state and local elected officials quickly and effectively. Affiliates and allies can contact NACDL if they d like to request a state specific alert. NACDL staff will create and send your alert to our members in your state.

Legislative Action Alerts Advocacy Statistics There are currently 31, 715 active subscribers. A subscribed user receives both NACDL monthly e-news and federal action alerts. Subscribed users also receive state specific action alerts. Since the beginning of 2017, we ve sent 2,317 letters to federal and state elected officials.
