OFFICERS REPORTS: All Officers in attendance reported, with the majority of comments reflecting their pleasure in being back at VA Beach. Many also thanked those that helped with the set-up especially Michelle Zimmerman who helps every year. Also congratulations were offered to Leon who just received the 33 rd Degree. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Convention Committee: Dave Karl reported that all was set for the scoring and awards party following competition. Competition Committee: Champ Coddington again thanked those who helped with set-up this morning. He also reported that all courses were set as usual with no changes to report. Dale Zimmerman went over the procedure for the new inspection and how the scoring would work. MAASMC 50 th Anniversary: Dave Karl updated the participation in the parade next year, with 11 temples reporting that they will be sponsoring someone. The participants will be in front of the start of the parade, either walking or on a float or car as needed, and will be accompanied by some Officers/Past Presidents. They will watch the parade from the reviewing stand area and will be transported back to their hotels afterwards. He also hoped that some or all would be available on Friday morning for competition and the awards party afterwards. If any unit or Temple would like to be involved with the procession prior to the parade, please contact Dave Karl. OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: Following competition we will begin to accept sealed bids for the existing Motor Corp Trailer to be sold as is with no warranties or guaranties implied. The bids will be accepted until the start of the November Officers meeting, when they will be opened and a winning bid revealed. The buyer will be required to contact Leon Stocks to arrange for payment and pick-up of the trailer by January 15, 2016. The sealed bids should be given to the Dale Zimmerman, Secretary personally, or mailed to him at 52 Racehorse Dr. Jonestown, PA 17038. A proposal was made by Boumi Motor Corp to allow both motorcycles and trikes to ride in separate obstacle courses even if they ride together in the drill competition provided they pay a separate entry fee and report for inspection to receive a scoring packet for the obstacle course. Discussed and passed starting in 2016. GOOD OF THE ORDER: Eddie Dixon reported that the Gib Rice Memorial Attendance Award will be split between Almas and Zembo, each will receive $100.00 for their transportation Funds.
