RENEW YOUR BLUE MAX & AMA & FAA MEMBERSHIPS!! AMA CHARTER 1040 GOLD LEADERSHIP CLUB WHEELS UP by Steve Gelman Welcome Back, We still have at least 6 weeks of good flying weather which may sound like a short amount of time, however, come out to the field and enjoy these times with us. Fall flying can be somewhat of a challenge unless you have the guts and an airplane that is fit for the occasion. We have many experienced pilots that can help you with this airplane selection. If you have been flying with us, then you must have seen or have a Sig Somthin Extra, an excellent all around airplane. My Escapade 46 has proven itself as a great windy flying airplane as well. Some become bored with flying by the end of the summer, AKA burned out, so now would be a good time to search for a new airplane that will spark your interest. Any ideas? How about a Warbird or Scale such as a Cherokee? You may have some planes that you may not desire to fly anymore. Remember that you can advertise them in this newsletter, and get a table at the swap meets like Bob and Carl did all last winter. Our next fun-fly is scheduled for Sunday September 16th, weather permitting. Watch your email for details. I also want to stress on safety, and make you aware to watch everything that you do on the ground and in the air, while following the field and AMA rules. This is to assure safety to yourselves and others. Our next meeting is Monday September 17th at 7:00 PM. Please remember to bring something for the food bank.
