Day 6: Main Bedroom Closet Ø Go through each item and decide if it brings you joy Ø Purge all clothing that you do not wear, do not like, doesn t fit, or is stained or damaged Ø Replace all items in your closet in colour coded order (consider replacing your hangers with flat style hangers) Day 7: Main Bedroom Dresser Drawers and Nightstand Ø Go through each item and decide if it brings you joy Ø Purge all clothing that you do not wear, do not like, doesn t fit, or is stained or damaged Ø Replace all items in your drawers in a neat and orderly way Ø Purge and reorganize your nightstands Day 8: Kid s Bedroom Closet & Dressers Ø Purge all clothing that your child does not wear, does not like, no longer fits them, or is stained or damaged store too small items in a marked tote for younger children if applicable Ø Replace all items in their closet (consider replacing your hangers with flat style hangers) Day 9: Kid s Bedrooms Other Ø Go through nightstands, bookshelves, and toys and purge all items no longer being used or that are unneeded Ø Donate, sell, or throw out purged items based on their condition
Day 10: Toys & books / Playroom Ø Go through all toys and purge those that are broken, no longer age appropriate, or that they never play with Ø Consider using alternating bins of toys to keep them fresh and interesting Store away some toys to swap out later if using this method Ø Donate, sell, or throw out purged toys or games based on their condition Day 11: Mudroom shoes/coats Ø Go through your coat closet and purge all coats that you no longer wear, don t fit, or that you don t like Ø Donate, sell, or throw out coats that are no longer worn based on their condition Ø Store coats that are next size up or down for younger children (if applicable) Ø Go through all shoes and purge those that are too small for your children (store as needed) Ø Go through adult shoes and purge those that you don t wear, or are damaged and donate or throw out (based on the condition) Day 12: Bathroom Cabinets and Vanity Ø Check for and purge old nearly empty items Ø Check expiry dates on medications Ø Remove all items from any messy and disorganized drawers Ø Reorganize the drawers and cabinets if the current layout isn t efficient Ø Place items back into drawers or cabinets in a neat and orderly way (consider using baskets or drawer dividers if needed) Day 12: Linen Closet Ø Assess condition of your linens and towels to see if they should be replaced Ø Throw items that are very worn and damaged or move them to another space where you store old cleaning towels Ø Donate any excess linens that you do not use or need
