This case was the first federal prosecution in the United States pursuant to Title 18 United States Code Sections 1030 (a)(2) for installation of malicious spy-ware on a personal computer system to create pornographic images. The case is on appeal before the Eleventh Circuit. 2) Banks v. State of Florida, 700 So.2d 363 (Fla. 1997). Judge William Gary. A first degree murder case involving a ten year old victim. The prosecution resulted in the first death penalty imposed in Gadsden County, Florida since 1955. 3) U.S. v. Joaquin Gomes, Case#1:06CR37(2006). District Judge Stephan P. Mickle. This case involved the trial of a sex predator who was convicted while on probation for producing child pornography. The victims were never identified. Defendant was sentenced to 50 years imprisonment. 4) U.S. v. Joe Lee "Little Joen McQuay, Case#1:02CR43. District Judge Maurice M. Paul. This was a large scale multi-defendant drug conspiracy in north Florida which resulted in numerous trials and convictions, including a corrupt law enforcement officer. 5) Braswell v. State of Florida, 671 So.2d 228 (Fla. 1 11 DCA 1996). This case involved the theft of a cooler from inside the bed of a pick-up truck. The case is frequently cited in legal treatises. Page7
