Page 2 VOLUM E 9, ISS UES 8-9 President s Message The heat of summer is upon us. To help beat the heat, we had an Ice Cream fundraiser on July 26 at the Sweet Firefly. Everyone had a good time and we were blessed with good weather. Veronica Day did an outstanding job on it, although Travis tried to single handedly eat the shop empty. I hope everyone is having a good summer so far. The joint picnic is coming up on September 18 so if you know anyone in the CPAAA make sure you remind them. We will have signup sheets at the general meeting on August 26. The CPAAA is the host for this year so we will bring side dishes and desserts. The ice cream truck was a nice treat at the Reunion picnic so we will see about a repeat. Get in line before Travis. We will be doing more fundraisers in the future for raising funds for the Awards Banquet as well as funding more scholarships to support the RFD. More about this coming up. If anyone has an idea for a specific project for a fundraiser or have a possible fundraiser activity or location, send your ideas to Veronica Day. Don t forget about the Dallas Stair Climb coming up in September. There is still room for volunteers if you are interested. Rick Wilder Which is more colorful? Rick or the Ice Cream Cone?
