INTRODUCTION non-profit NGO established under trusteeship laws of Malaysia to attend to the aid of natural and man-made human calamities worldwide. Assembled on 26 th September 2001 in an immediate response to the ordeal and sufferings of the Afghans under intense US military onslaught and occupation. GPM is under no illusion that quick-fix emergency solutions would suffix for each chosen or designated disaster area. Accordingly, GPM invariably stays on to help out with longer term objectives in education, economics, agriculture, health, community development and socio-economic empowerment programmes benefiting victims across the board old folks income earners, women, youth and children.

GPM S MAIN OBJECTIVES Bringing timely and fitting aid(s) to victims of man-made and natural disasters worldwide; Provide empowerment for marginalized communities to achieve self-reliance through interventions in the areas of education, microfinance, sustainable agriculture and clean water provision; Raises community awareness to promote social responsibility and self reliance to those less fortunate, both local and international; Widen the spirit of volunteerism within the communities both local and international.

SHORT TERM PROJECTS

Emergency Relief Our main focus and priority is giving emergency relief to natural and man made disaster s victims, by providing foods, clean water supply, temporary shelters and emotional support.

Emergency Relief Under the coalition of 86 NGOs, disregarding racial and faith, GPM started giving emergency relief to war victims in Afghanistan (2001). The concerns shown by fellow Malaysian, had been the initiator to more humanitarian missions and projects across the map by GPM.

Emergency Relief GPM are always welcoming other mindful organizations, local and international, to work hand in hand for human life sustainability in shattered area of the world.

Emergency Relief After more than 12 years of establishment, GPM had delivered emergency relief missions to more than 20 countries.

Food for the Needy Programmes Every year, GPM had sponsored breaking fast ceremony and family food packages in Ramadan for almost 10 devastated Muslim communities across the globe, under Food for the Needy programmes.

Food for the Needy Programmes To rejoice the happiness of celebrating Muslim festivities, GPM also advocate Qurban and Aqiqah in Muslim needed area. The programme are able in giving Muslim the sense of Islamic brotherhood beyond nationality boundaries.

LONG TERM PROJECTS

Education Programmes In GPM, we believe that education is very important for sustainable life of every community. We convey this awareness by developing wrecked schools in disaster area and funding new schools in required area to minimize the fee. Community Development Clean water is the most important substance for sustainable life. Apart from giving water for the community usage, Acheh, Indonesia they are able to generate their income by selling the water to others. Desa Bumiharjo, Klaten, Middle Java, Indonesia

Community Development The first Malaysian funded bread factory in Gaza Strip was built by GPM in 2010. The factory is intended of getting free-supplied flour from UN and able to feed the community.

Community Empowerment Jom Baca: With the objective of reducing illiteracy and nurturing the hove for reading among Malaysian students

Community Empowerment Empowerment of Rohingya community in Gombak by teaching and trained them how to cook Malaysian foods. This is to give them chance to work in Malaysian community.

Volunteers Empowerment Super Volunteer Basic Training: The most important training for new registered volunteers before they are competent to be on ground. This training is mainly nourishing them with physical and mental training with what might they face while carry out a humanitarian mission.

Volunteers Empowerment GPM is an expert in constructing tube wells for humanitarian needs. Thus, we often like to share the knowledge by teaching specialized volunteers in engineering team, to construct tube well by themselves before serving community in need. Tube well Engineering Program: Coaching for tube well construction in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Volunteers Empowerment GPM are dedicated in empowering volunteers, especially in preparing them to be highly committed volunteers on ground and good in delivering their report afterward. Therefore, some activities were done to achieve this purpose. We seek the continuity of humanitarian works through these trained volunteers.
