Ronald Smeal, Interim Administrative Chief of Police and Alan Guzzardo, Assistant Borough Manager. President Sando led the Pledge of Allegiance. President Sando called for a moment of silence in memory of Kenneth Schlegel, son of longtime residents Herbert and Rosemary Schlegel who passed away unexpectantly. Public Comment Liz Ann Iaccovetti, 346 W. Walnut Street, requested that Council members volunteer at Community Day which be held on Saturday, September 29 th. She passed around a sign-up sheet. Discussion: Public Review Process; North Wales Borough - Wissahickon Creek Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Strategy and Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) Manager Hart provided an overview of the plans in accordance with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System permit program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Consideration: Approval of Minutes: August 14, 2018 Member Scott made a motion to approve the minutes of August 14, 2018. Member McClure seconded the motion. Motion passed 9 yes, 0 no. Consideration: Disbursements: $43,651.16 Manager Hart reviewed the bills listing. Member Amato asked about the diesel bill for North Wales Water Authority. Manager Hart explained that Public Works vehicles use diesel fuel versus gasoline and that we utilize the pumps at NWWA, then they invoice us to be reimbursed.
2 Member Amato made a motion to approve payment of the bills in the amount of $43,651.16. Member Scott seconded the motion. Motion passed 9 yes, 0 no. Old Business/Committee & Board Reports/Zoning Applications Manager Hart announced an executive session will be held after the meeting to discuss the police chief candidates. Solicitor / Mayor / Council / Manager Solicitor Gifford reaffirmed that an executive session will be held to discuss the police chief candidates and no action would be taken after the meeting. Member McClure thanked Liz Ann Iaccovetti for helping out with Community Day even though she is not a Borough resident. Vice President Cherry reviewed the Borough s 150 th Anniversary Committee s recent activities. Manager Hart thanked Liz Ann Iaccovetti for all of her help. She announced that the Borough s newsletter is complete. Andrew Berenson, 439 Washington Avenue, announced that Passover will interfere with the Flap Jack Breakfast that the 150 th Committee is promoting. Manager Hart announced that the public input meeting for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will be held prior to the next Council meeting on September 11 th. Member Scott made a motion to adjourn.
