Jensen, Assistant Superintendent for Business; Ms. Maureen Poerio, District Clerk Dr. Bonasera called the meeting to order at 8:11 p.m. after the salute to the flag. Ms. Poerio administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Board of Member Michael Di Marco. Opening of Meeting Oath of Office (Note: Ms. Compagnone was administered the Oath of Office by the District Clerk on July 6, 2009.) Election of Officers Dr. Bonasera asked for nominations for the Office of President of the Board. Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka, to nominate Dr. Wittpenn as President of the Board of. Election of President Dr. Bonasera asked for nominations for the Office of Vice President of the Board. Ms. Jordan moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka, to nominate Ms. Compagnone as Vice President of the Board of. Election of Vice President (Note: Dr. Wittpenn was administered the Oath of Office by the District Clerk on July 14, 2009; Ms. Compagnone was administered the Oath of Office by the District Clerk on July 6, 2009.) School District Officers/Board Appointees Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby appoints Maureen Poerio as District Clerk for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. District Clerk Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby appoints Lynne Kirchenko as District Treasurer, and the Superintendent of Schools and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Business as Deputy District Treasurer, for the Mount Sinai School District, at the pleasure of the Board, for the fiscal year 2009-10. District Treasurer

Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby appoints Marie Johnson as Internal Claims Auditor for the Mount Sinai School District, at the pleasure of the Board, for the fiscal year 2009-10 as per her Terms and Conditions of employment dated 6-14-96. Internal Claims Auditor Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby appoints Rose Marie Madonna as the Assistant to the Internal Claims Auditor for the Mount Sinai School District, at the pleasure of the Board, for the fiscal year 2009-10. Assistant to the Internal Claims Auditor Other Appointments hereby appoints Dr. Mark Wasserman as School Physician for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10 at an employee/student physical rate not to exceed $35/hr. School Physician hereby appoints Kevin Seaman and the firm of Hogan, Sarzynski, Lynch, Surowka & DeWind as School District Attorneys for the Mount Sinai School District for the school year 2009-10 at a rate not to exceed $210/hr. School Attorneys hereby appoints Coughlin, Foundotos, Cullen & Donowski as the External Auditor for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 in the amount of $47,800. External Auditor Ms. Jordan moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby appoints Rizzi, Schwarz & Taraskas as the Internal Auditor for the Mount Sinai School District for the school year 2009-10 as per the following fee schedule for the level of staff utilized in performing actual auditing services: Internal Auditor Partner Senior Associate Staff Secretarial $275/hour $190/hour $125/hour $ 75/hour hereby appoints the Superintendent of Schools and/or the Assistant Superintendent for 2 Purchasing Agents

Business as the Purchasing Agents of the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. hereby appoints Maureen Poerio as Central Treasurer of Extra Classroom Funds for the fiscal year 2009-10 as per contract and the Middle School and High School Principals as Chief Faculty Counselors. The signatures required for this fund will be Maureen Poerio and the High School Principal or the Middle School Principal. Extra Classroom Funds hereby appoints Maria Tomlinson as Title IX Coordinator for the fiscal year 2009-10. Title IX Coordinator hereby appoints Scott Reh as Health Coordinator for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Health Coordinator hereby appoints John Gentilcore, Robert Grable and Edward Casswell as Attendance Officers for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Attendance Officers hereby appoints Maureen Poerio as Records Access Officer for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Records Access Officer hereby appoints the Superintendent of Schools as Records Management Officer for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Records Management Officer hereby appoints Dwight Lukasz as Asbestos (LEA) Designee for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Asbestos Designee, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, hereby appoints Marie Johnson, Nancy Massi, Christine Sfakis, and Maureen Poerio as members of the Board of 3 Board of Registration

Audit Committee Designations Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby designates H.S.B.C. and Capital One Bank as the depositories for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. In addition, the Mount Sinai Board of hereby designates JP Morgan Chase Bank, Bank of New York, Citibank, and Bank of America for accepting quotes on Certificates of Deposits. Bank Depositories Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby designates the Village Beacon Record Newspaper, Newsday, and North Shore Sun as the Mount Sinai School District official newspapers for the fiscal year 2009-10. Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby designates H2M Group and Thomas Associates as the Architectural firms for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. Teacher and Principal of the Middle School and High School Interscholastics $100.00 - Athletic Director Management Procedures Mr. Di Marco moved, seconded by Mr. Kostic, that the Mount Sinai Board of will continue its present policy regarding authority to sign checks wherein: the payroll account checks require the signature or facsimile signature of the Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer all other accounts require the two signatures or facsimile signatures of either the President or District Clerk and the Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer checks in amounts of $10,000 or greater require live signatures except: a) checks in remittance of payroll taxes, payroll and employee deductions b) checks for inter-account transfers c) checks to reimburse the lunch contractor d) checks to reimburse the bus contractor e) checks in payment of utility services when delay may result in late penalties f) checks in payment of school insurance premiums g) BOCES payments Internal Financial Management Procedures Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby authorizes the Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer and Assistant Superintendent for Business to make wire transfers for the Mount Sinai School District for the fiscal year 2009-10. hereby establishes the amount of the Bonding of the District Treasurer to be $1,000,000. Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby authorizes the signature of either the Superintendent or Executive Administrative Assistant for the Mount Sinai School District on Health, Federal and State Reports for the fiscal year 2009-10. State Reports Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that the Mount Sinai Board of hereby authorizes the signature of either the Superintendent or Executive Administrative Assistant for the Mount Sinai School District to certify payrolls for the 2009-10 fiscal year. Payroll REGULAR BOARD MEETING Personnel Mr. Di Marco moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that upon the recommendation of the Aide Superintendent, the Board of hereby approves the following appointment: Summer Name of Employee: Judy Albano Program Commencement of Appointment: July 6, 2009 Expiration of Appointment: August 14, 2009 Area: Aide Compensation: $10.76 Mr. Kostic moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of hereby appoints the following persons as Substitute Custodians (Summer Help): Substitute Custodians Name Commencement of Area Compensation Appointment Edward Compagnone June 29, 2009 Substitute Custodian $8.00/hr. Ms. Jordan moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of hereby appoints Chris Heil as Energy / Manager (Energy Czar) for the 2009-10 school year, as per the contract ($25,667 stipend) with Energy Inc. for energy management services. Energy Czar Ms. Jordan moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka, that upon the recommendation of the Adult Superintendent, the Board of hereby appoints Steve Mantone as Adult Director for the 2009-10 school year with remuneration as per the Director Administrators contract. 7

Ms. Jordan moved, seconded by Mr. Yavorka, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of hereby appoints Matthew Dyroff as Substitute Teacher Dispatcher for the 2009-10 school year with remuneration as per the Administrators contract. Substitute Teacher Dispatcher Action Items Mr. Yavorka moved, seconded by Ms. Jordan, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of has no objections to the following Special recommendations and approves the authorization for the funds to implement the special education programs and services consistent with such.
