Razlogi za direktno socialno delo: odtujevanje socialnega dela od družbenih gibanj, upor birokratizaciji in ekonomizaciji socialnega dela in vsakdanjega življenja, neposredna akcija v situaciji ekonomskega izkoriščanja in življenjske negotovosti. Etika direktnega socialnega dela. Kritika dobrodelnosti. Utemeljenost socialnega dela v gibanjih za družbeno pravičnost. Protislovja povezovanja socialnega dela s socialno državo. Radikalno socialno delo. Zasedbena gibanja in socialna vprašanja. Imperativ ne-izključevanja kot temelj neposredne demokracije. Direktna akcija in demokracija in socialno delo. Socialno delo v obdobju negotovosti. Osi»dokapitalizacije ljudi«: stabilna socialna varnost in gotovost, obramba pred izžemanjem kapitalizma, ustvarjanje skupnosti. Molekularna revolucija in kontrarevolucija. Delo socialnega dela. Načela dialoga, prečnosti, zagovorništva, humorja. Socialno delo in etično-estetska paradigma. Prostori in registri socialnega dela, načini delovanja. Taksonomija socialnega dela in socialnega varstva. Kritika storitev in programov. Prilaščanje virov socialnega varstva. Iniciative in polja delovanja direktnega socialnega dela. Skupno zagovorništvo. Alternativne stanovanjske politike. Boj proti negotovosti zaposlovanja. Direktne akcije v dezinstitucionalizaciji. Dezinstalacija prohibicije drog. Negotova starost. Delovanje v skupnosti. Motives of direct social work: disengagement from the social movements, revolt against bureaucratisation and economisation of social work and everyday life, direct action in conditions of economic exploitation and precariousness. Predvideni študijski rezultati: Znanje in razumevanje: - lastnega dela in stanja socialnega dela v epohi, - teorij in načel, procesov, metod in tehnik, raziskovalnega dela, ki omogočajo alternativne dejavnosti. Uporaba pridobljenega znanja, metod in tehnik neposredno v praksi socialnega dela. Intended learning outcomes: Knowledge and understanding: - understanding one's own work and circumstances of social work in present epoch, - theories and principles, methods, research that enable alternative activities. Use of acquired knowledge, methods and techniques in direct social work practice.

Metode poučevanja in učenja: Predavanja, terensko delo, delo v skupnosti, direktno socialno delo, individualno delo, mentorstvo, konzultacije. Learning and teaching methods: Lectures, field work, active engagement, work in the community, individual work, tutorials, field work. Načini ocenjevanja: Način (pisni izpit, ustno izpraševanje, naloge, projekt): Priprava, izvedba in poročanje o akciji direktnega socialnega dela; ali esej s predstavitvijo.
