SB-53-2017 Senator Foster West PURPOSE: To allow Turning Point USA to become a budgeted organization. WHEREAS: Turning Point USA has met all requirements set forth by the Compass. WHEREAS: the Student Organization Review Board has met and determined that Turning Point USA is deserving of being budgeted organization. ASSOCIATION IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, THE FOLLOWING SECTION I: Be it enacted that the Student Government Association at the College of Charleston approves Turning Point USA for becoming a budgeted student organization SECTION II: THIS BILL SHALL TAKE EFFECT UPON PASSAGE BY THE STUDENT SENATE
SB-54-2017 Senator Meghan Longtin PURPOSE: To allow the CofC Food Pantry to become a budgeted organization. WHEREAS: the CofC Pantry has met all requirements set forth by the Compass. WHEREAS: the Student Organization Review Board has met and determined that the CofC Food Pantry is deserving of being a budgeted organization. SR-05-2017 Senator Simpson To express approval of Pocket Points to be improved and allowed on the College of WHEREAS: Pocket Points mission is to keep students off their cell phones during class, WHEREAS: Pocket Points incentivizes students to keep them engaged during classes and ultimately allow them to perform better in class and on exams, WHEREAS: In order for Pocket Points to expand, they need higher volumes of student participants ASSOCIATION IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, THE FOLLOWING SECTION I: The Student Government Association College of Charleston calls for the use of Pocket Points throughout the student body in order for Pocket Points business to expand in such a way that more students can benefit from multiple discount locations. SR-06-2017 Senator Tripp Keeffe PURPOSE: Assembly To express support for medical amnesty bills being considered in the SC General WHEREAS: Bills regarding medical amnesty are currently being debated and discussed in the state s General Assembly.
