Jihadists for Obama: We ve Got His Back By Stephen Guy Hardin / May 24, 2012 A federal jury in Waco, Texas convicted U.S. Army Private First Class Naser Jason Abdo on the charge of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. Private Abdo was also convicted of the attempted murder of U.S. Army officers, enlisted personnel and federal employees. And to top it off he was also convicted on four counts of possessing a weapon in furtherance of a federal crime of violence. Just what we need another Muslim other achiever. Private Abdo was arrested at a Killeen, Texas motel last July while AWOL from his posting at the U.S. Army base in Fort Campbell, Ky. In his motel room police and federal agents found bomb making materials, a stun gun, a loaded gun, over one hundred rounds of ammunition and over a thousand donation pledge forms for Obama / Biden 2012. But, I digress. Authorities stated that Abdo had embarked upon his bomb making adventures in response to his growing frustration and rage over American military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. His plan was to use a bomb to blow up a restaurant full of American troops from nearby Fort Hood. "He was targeting soldiers because he didn't like what the Army was doing in Afghanistan," prosecutor Lawrence Schneider told jurors in U.S. District Court in Waco. In an interview during his police interrogation Abdo said he was going to launch his terrorist attack because I don't appreciate what 263
Stephen Guy Hardin my unit did in Afghanistan. Plus, this would be a glorious example of the peaceful intentions of Islam. Abdo s attorney told jurors that his client should be acquitted because his terror plan never progressed beyond the planning stage. Using this nifty bit of liberal legal logic it s a violation of his civil rights to prosecute him for a crime he didn t have time to commit. Liberal legal logic, indeed. Killeen police began their investigation of Private Abdo in late July when an employee from a local gun store reported a suspicious looking person who had recently shopped in his store. The purchase of ten pounds of smokeless gunpowder, several boxes of shotgun shells, two cases of detonators, a 100 pound bag of anthrax and a half dozen Claymore anti personnel mines didn t raise the store clerks suspicions, it is Texas after all, but the red flag that drove the store clerk to call police was Abdo s attire. In addition to wearing a towel stenciled with the logo, Property of Killeen Holiday Inn wrapped around his head and muttering Death to America, Naser Jason Abdo was at his most suspicious wearing a tee- shirt emblazoned with the slogan, Jihadists for Obama : We ve Got His Back. 264
Government is a trust, and the officers of the government are trustees. And both the trust and the trustees are created for the benefit of the people. ~Henry Clay
