PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Becki Wells (270) 890 0200 Hopkinsville Beautification Commission Honors Dr. King Through Service HOPKINSVILLE, KY (January 9, 2018) The Hopkinsville Beautification Commission seeks to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by hosting its third community Clean Up Day which will take place, (weather permitting), Monday, January 15, 2018, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is a national day of service. All are invited to join with the Beautification Commission picking up litter around downtown and working to keep our city Beautiful. Volunteers will gather at the Farmers Market pavilion at 2:30pm. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Please dress for the weather and watch the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission Facebook page, hoptown.org/beautification, for updates. About the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission The Hopkinsville Beautification Commission was created by city ordinance on January 15, 2008. The Commission plans, oversees and administers city landscape, cleanup and beautification efforts and programs including grant applications; management, recruiting and coordinating of volunteers; and education of the public regarding beautification issues. The Commission administers the community wide landscape and beautification plan in cooperation with government and nongovernment agencies and organizations in Christian County, Kentucky.
