To: Don Viegut Superintendent of Schools Livingston, Mt From: Jerry Heitman Transportation Supervisor Re: Yearly Bus Purchase The time of year has come again when we need to get on the agenda of the school Board for our yearly bus purchase. The yearly purchase of a bus since 1989 has helped keep the Livingston School Bus fleet in a very good, up to date and excellent condition. The Livingston School Dist. Has made it a priority to purchase the same bus, style and type since 1980 in order to keep student safety, driver familiarly and part inter changeability at the highest level. I have the specifications and prices, for two (2) new Blue Bird All American Buses with 83 passenger capacity. The new school Buses will replace a 2003 and a 2007 both have over 140,000 miles by time of trade. Livingston School Board needs to declare the 2003 and 2007 Blue Birds as surplus property and then make a decision to trade them in on the new buses. The purchase value of the new Blue Bird School Buses is $104,555.00 each before the trade in of the used buses. I would like this to be on the July Agenda so as to order the bus in August. I have enclosed the spec s for the new buses to be purchased. Thank you for your continued support in keep the students as safe as possible during the ride to and from school.
