Recommendation Based on these findings, the Ad Hoc Judicial Nominations Committee may consider reducing the number of full-time judges from 12 to 10. If case load increases, associate judges will be utilized to handle the increased case load throughout the year. 17

Next Steps March 27: Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) selects candidates to interview April 2-5: JNC conducts candidate interviews and candidate deliberation/selection April 13: JNC submits recommendations to Ad Hoc Judicial Nominations Committee April 23: JNC presents candidate recommendations to Ad Hoc Judicial Nominations Committee 18

Next Steps May 7: Ad Hoc Judicial Nominations Committee interviews candidates June 13: City Council votes to appoint candidates 19
