Dear Senior Regent: Moose International Women of the Moose has discontinued the International Co-worker and Novice Co-worker of the year program. The State and International Officers of California/Nevada have been asked to participate in a new program called Lifetime Achievement Award. This new recognition program will be presented at the International Conference in Las Vegas in 2014. We have been asked to set the criteria for our States and submit one nominee to Grand Chancellor Barbara McPherson by November 1, 2013. While it is not mandatory that you submit a nominee we encourage you to participate. We are calling our program California/Nevada Award of Excellence. **Instructions for selecting your chapter nominee for the Award of Excellence honor** 1. The Senior Regent shall appoint a committee of five (5) plus the Junior Regent and Chaplain to select the nominee from the chapter. Preferably the five (5) committee members shall not be Committee Chairman as the idea is to get others involved, however if that is not possible any co-worker, except the other officers, can be appointed. The Junior Regent shall be the chairman and responsible for sending the nominee selected to Pat Walker by the August 15th deadline. 2. Co-workers shall be asked to submit a name or names to the committee for consideration. 3. The committee shall meet sometime in July. The committee shall review the criteria for selecting a nominee. They shall use the point form and consider the accomplishments of the co-worker/s whose names are submitted to them. They shall vote to select one nominee. 4. At the Annual Conference in Reno the Current/Past State & International Officers will meet to select a nominee from our States. Pat Walker will not be voting on a selection since she will have the names of the nominees selected by the chapters. She will present the form sent in by the chapter which will not reveal a name or chapter
and a vote will be taken. The selected nominee s name will be sent to International Headquarters. 5. The nominee selected for our States will be recognized and honored at the Mid-Year Conference in March 2014. We look forward to your participation in this new recognition program. Sincerely Current/Past State & International Officers California/Nevada
