Classic GTO Association of Denver Got Yer Goat! Page 3 Joanne Cikowski Notes from the January Membership Meeting The Member Meeting was held on January 24 during our Annual Brunch at the Table Mountain Inn, Golden, CO. There were 37 members and friends in attendance. Sara read the Treasurer s Report. Bill Lewis said he would renew our non-profit status paperwork. Erik Bergman, regional manager for Hagerty Insurance, updated the board on the club s liability insurance coverage for the Board Members. He also made a presentation to all members regarding Hagerty s Colorado presence and local office plans, and spoke of Hagerty s Classic Car Insurance program. Last year s board members were thanked for their dedication, and the new board members were introduced. The changes for 2015 are Mike Mikutis as Vice President and Norm Warling as Treasurer. Sharlene extended a heartfelt thank you to Sara Garvais for her many years as Club President and then as Treasurer. She also thanked John and Linda Lawrence for their continued 18 years of service as Newsletter editors. The club voted on amendments to the club bylaws. Member Mary Robinson thanked the club for their generosity in regard to their daughter Sara. Rich Cikowski and Norm Warling spoke on events in the works for the 2015 season, and Shar asked members for their suggestions for future events. Door prizes were handed out during the brunch. Plenty of $1.00 tickets were purchased for the 50/50 drawing, which was won by John Lawrence. A trophy was presented to George Racz to recognize him as the top points winner of our Racing Team in the Bandimere Speedway Club Clash Series. The Hard Luck award was earned by Norm and Shar, whose 69 Judge broke down in the mountains on their way home from the Labor Day weekend in Grand Junction. Sharlene Jung was surprised by the Board Members when they presented her with the Member of the Year award. Event dates discussed: 2/21/15 - Member Meeting at Gary Riley s shop, Level One Restoration. Time to be announced.

George Racz receives a trophy for the highest points earned by a member of our Club Race Team in the Club Clash series at Bandimere Speedway. The 2014 Board Members present President Shar with the club s 2014 Member of the Year Award. The event venue: Golden s Table Mountain Inn Above Left: The Hard Luck Award, created by Rich Cikowski, was presented to Norm and Shar. They had drive shaft U-joint and seal issues returning from Grand Junction during the Labor Day weekend. Vibrations caused them to leave I-70 and park their 69 Judge behind a gas station convenience store. Luckily, they were traveling with other club members, and were able to hitch a ride home with Rich and Joanne Cikowski. Norm then returned to the Judge and trailered it back to Denver. The award shows the Judge parked by a dumpster, and next to a Ewe Joint shelter with a seal on top of it. The drive shaft is projecting out from under the car with a puddle of fluid. Thanks to Rich for yet another clever Hard Luck Award trophy!
