LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: 29.12.2014 Applications in the prescribed proforma appended hereto are invited from the candidates who are qualified and are eligible as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications for recruitment to 106 posts (including 21 posts reserved for candidates belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka Region [371(J)] of Group D on the establishment of High Court of Karnataka. NOTE: This office Notification No.HCE 578/2013 dated 17.10.2013, inviting applications for filling up of 70 posts of Group D STANDS CANCELLED. Hence, applicants who had applied in pursuance of the said Notification, SHALL SUBMIT A FRESH APPLICATION, if educationally qualified as per this notification. However, they need not pay the application fee again and they shall furnish the particulars regarding fee paid earlier i.e., Indian Postal Order No./DD No./Date, in the specified column of the application. Further, the age of such applicants will be reckoned as on the date of the earlier Notification. 2. Method of Recruitment: Selection of candidates will be made in accordance with the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules, 1973, as amended from time to time and High Court of Karnataka (Direct Recruitment by Selection) Rules, 1984 as amended from time to time

Probation: The applicant if appointed shall be initially on probation for a period of two years or for extended period if necessary.

Age limit: Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years and must not exceed the age of:- (a) 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes. (b) 38 years in case of person belonging to Category-II-A, II-B or III-A, III-B of Other Backward Classes; and (c) 35 years in case of others. (d) Not withstanding anything contained in Rules 6 of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977, i. in case of an applicant who is working or holding a post under the Government of a local authority or a Corporation established by a State Act or Central Act or established by the Government under a State Act or Central Act and owned or controlled by the Government by the number of years during which he is or was holding such post or ten years whichever is less; ii. iii. iv. in case of candidate who is an ex-serviceman - by three years plus the number of years of service rendered by him in the Armed Forces of the Union; in case of a candidate who is physically handicapped - by ten years; in the case of a candidate who is widow - by ten years; (e) The minimum and maximum age limit will be as on the last date of fixed for submission of application. 8. Those candidates called for Test / Interview will have to appear before the authorities in the premises of the High Court of Karnataka, Principal Bench at Bangalore at their own cost.
:: 5 :: 9. Candidates shall not try to bring extraneous influence by any means in support of his/her candidature for appointment. If any candidate is found to have brought such extraneous influence, then such candidate will be liable for disqualification from appointment. 10. Application fee: A fee of Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Only) is prescribed for every application. It should be remitted by means of Crossed Indian Postal Order only drawn in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, High Court Buildings, Bangalore 560001, and the same should be submitted along with the application. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category I and Physically Handicapped persons are exempted from payment of fees. 11. Application Form:- Application in the prescribed proforma shall be filled in by the candidates in their own handwriting and shall accompany self attested copies of the following certificates. (a) Marks Cards of Tenth Standard or Equivalent. (b) Candidates claiming the benefit of reservations / age relaxation under SC /ST /Cat-I/ IIA/ IIB/ IIIA / IIIB shall produce a certificate in the form prescribed by the Government issued by the competent authority. (c) Candidates claiming reservation under Rural / Physically Handicapped / Ex Servicemen / Kannada Medium / Displaced for projects/widow candidates shall produce the certificate in the form prescribed by the Government of Karnataka issued by Competent Authorities.
:: 5 :: (d) Candidates claiming reservation under Local Cadre i.e., Candidates belonging to Hyderabad Karnataka Region shall produce the relevant certificate issued by the Competent Authority as prescribed under The Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation in appointment for Hyderabad- Karnataka Region) (Issue of Eligibility Certificates) Rules, 2013. (e) Three Certificates of character, one from the Principal / Head of the Institution in which he/she had last studied and two from respectable persons not related to him/her, testifying to his/her character. (f) A passport size photo be affixed at the place provided on the application. 12. Last date for receipt of application:- Applications complete in all respects shall reach the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, High Court Buildings, Bangalore 560 001 on or before 29.12.2014 (5.00 P.M.)
