2018 From President Joe Davis: Happy July! Could it GET any hotter? I wanted to thank a few people for their help with manning the Prime Timer booth at HR Pride on Saturday, June 30th. A big THANK YOU to Woody Norvell, Ron Green, Mike Gordon, Jimmy Luttrell, and Fred Osgood for hanging out with myself and Joe Amos in the heat! We had a few members stop by to say hi and hang out with us for a bit and it was much appreciated! We actually had someone fill out an application for potential membership, a first if my memory serves me! The August board meeting will be held at the home of Bill Zimmerman on Aug 5th at 4pm. Any members are welcome to attend. The July PT meeting will be held on July 15th at 2pm at the Heutte Center. Our own esteemed Woody Norvell will have a photo slide show and talk about his trip to Paris. I m sure it will be very informative. For the August meeting, we will have a representative from Samaritan House to give a talk about Domestic Partner Violence from an LGBTQ perspective. Until we meet again, please take care of yourselves and remember to stay hydrated when we have temps this high. Sincerely, Joe

Tidewater Prime Timers Board Meeting Minutes - Sunday, June 3, 2018 The regular monthly board meeting of the Tidewater Prime Timers was held at the home of Fred Osgood & Jimmy Luttrell on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 4:00 pm. In attendance were Joe Davis, Ron Green, Bill Zimmerman, Woody Norvell, Joe Davis, Fred Osgood, Jimmy Luttrell & Michael Gordon. The minutes of the preceding meeting were read, amended & approved. Board members should prepare and submit questions they would like to have answered by any member who is featured in the member spotlight feature in the Newsletter. These questions should be ready by the time of the next board meeting. Board approval was given to advertise on the Outwire.com website. The cost is $40.00. Fred is waiting to hear from a contact he has about the possibility of the club obtaining a booth at the annual Out In The Park Festival. (June 30th) Topics to be presented at upcoming general meeting are: June 17 - Bill Zimmerman s program on the SS United States July 15 - Woody Norvell s review of his recent trip to Paris A victim advocate from Samaritan House is a tentative possibility for an August speaker. Michael Gordon will get the cake for the June meeting; Joe & Joe will bring the cake for the one in July. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will present a special exhibition, containing some 200 items, on Napoleon between June 9 & Sept. 3. The club will select a date soon to schedule a day trip to Richmond to see it. Other possible day trips include a harbor cruise on the American Rover and an outing to Edenton, NC. Michael Gordon will host the July board meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 pm. Respectfully submitted, Woody Norvell, secretary
