Newsletter 32- March 2017 FLORIDA ROADRUNNER NEWSLETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT S RIG Well now, I ll begin at the beginning. The March Muster at Lake City RV Resort seems to have been a roaring success. Vice President Steve Colt received several accolades for having conducted a very short meeting, which I understand was not only short but hilarious. As you know I was having health issues at the time so I couldn t attend for which I m sorry I missed. The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a plaque to our Past President, Larry Shields. For THAT I m truly sorry I missed the muster. Again, Congratulations to Larry for having done a wonderful job as President during very difficult times. I pray that I may be as successful as he. I will keep harping on recruitment. We have lost 9 members and gained 6. That leaves us with a 3 member deficit. Please folks, ASK a qualified person to join SMART and if possible, The Roadrunners. Remember our next muster is at Cedar Key May 10 th -14 th. If you haven t made your reservations yet, I urge you to do it now. If you don t have anything to do in April, the Drifters are having a muster in Lake Park, Ga at the Eagles Roost. Why not contact David Weis and let him know you would like to attend. Please don t forget the National Muster in Rayne, LA in Oct. I just got my confirmation last week so I m good to go. Have to ask Steve if we are going to take Mayport shrimp again this time. We really had a great time with them last time. What say you Steve?? Sorry to hear that Jackie Weis and Bonnie Shields are having health issues. Getting old sucks. Please pray for them and a speedy recovery. Oh!! Congratulations to Bill and Ria Thaw on their new rig. It is a beautiful one and I hope they have years of enjoyment with it. I hope I ve covered everything so I wish everyone good health, safe travels and God Bless. Tom
