Meeting started with Prayer President Dr.P.Muthukrishnan has given welcome address and thanked the members for the support for the entire of his tenure. Minutes of the Previous General body meeting passed - Proposed by Dr.J.Ranganathan, Seconded by Dr.A.L.Meenakshi sundaram. Secretary s Annual Report: The term started following the successful conduct of HILLCON 2015 in the month July 2015. 1. Report regarding President & Secretary s participation in ISA Trichy Branch meeting held on 20/9/2015 @ 7 pm at Hotel Shaans, Thennur, Trichy. a. During the meeting, The Trichy membership list was completely rechecked, members were given opportunity to enroll online their mobile number and e mail id with ISA National. b. Doubts regarding their ISA Life membership, Journal subscription were clarified. c. Importance of ISA Family Benevolent Fund was reemphasized and more members were motivated to join the FBF d. Regular ISA Activities of the branch were checked e. Secretary congratulated and thanked Dr.Ganessan, Secretary ISA Trichy for his motivation and cooperation. 2. President and Secretary attended ISA Sponsored CME held at Nagercoil, Organized by ISA Kanyakumari branch held on 10 th January 2016. 3. President Dr.P.Muthukrishnan attended One day CME held at Perambalur. 4. Vice President Dr.N.Periyasamy attended ISA meeting at Erode Branch in Dec. 2015. 5. Mid term State Executive committee meeting was held on 7 th Feb. 2016 at Courtallam along with venue inspection of the ISACON Tamilnadu 2016. The minutes of the meeting was read out which was earlier circulated to all members. 6. President Dr.P.Muthukrishnan visited ISA Coimbatore Annual CME CAP 2016 and he inaugurated the event held on 29 th May 2016. 7. President and Secretary attended one day CME in the month of June 2016, organized by ISA Salem city branch along with Neuro foundation hospital, Salem and inaugurated the event. 8. Secretary took part in one day CME on Regional Anaesthesia organized jointly by ISA Chennai and Kavery Hospitals on 24 th July 2016. 9. President, Vice president and Secretary attended one day workshop on Anaesthetic machines Enthiran 2016 organized by Anesthesia Department, Govt KAPV Medical College, Trichy in the month of June 2016. In all the above meetings, the importance of membership drive, Registration of the mobile number and E mail id with ISA National and also the support for ISA-FBF was emphasized.

ISA Tamilnadu website is periodically updated and Secretary requested members to provide input to make the website more useful and interactive. Treasurer s Financial Report: Treasurer Dr.Balaji was out of country attending WFSA Conference, and he sent his apologies for his inability to attend the AGBM. The account details submitted by him were presented by Secretary. 1. Treasurer submitted printed statement ISA accounts for the following periods: a. 16 th Nov. 2013 to 31 st March 2014 b. 1 st April 2014 to 31 st March 2015 c. 1 st April 2016 to date Treasurer s absence in the previous (Courtallam on 7 th February 2016) General Body meeting was pointed out by Dr.Ganesh Prabhu, and Dr.A.L.Meenakshi sundaram seconded. Dr.Ganesh prabhu asked the floor that something needs to be done for the continued absence of treasurer. Discussion took place whether to replace him for the next one year, as Treasurer s term is for one more year. Secretary concluded that he would inform the Treasurer, about the discussions of the AGBM and requested the members to provide him one last opportunity to submit the accounts by himself in an AGBM. Dr.Selvakumar.R, suggested that all the fixed deposits could be combined into one FD and be held with respective office bearers as currently the FD s are held with different banks and different cities. Secretary replied that they are already in the process and it would be completed shortly and held as a single fixed deposit in the name of ISA TNSB. Secretary mentioned the requirement by the SBI(as per RBI norms) that our account should be converted from savings account into a Current account as the interest earned has been reversed for the current financial year. Hence the money be converted into FD s and not maintained in current account as it may not earn any interest. The floor concluded that the final Treasurer s report needs to be submitted in the next year s AGBM only by Dr.Balaji and shall be passed at that time. This was proposed by Dr. Meenakshi sundaram and seconded by Dr.Ranganathan.J. Journal Editor s Report Editor Dr.Sekar Michael was happy to inform that the second edition was released during the ISACON Tamilnadu 2016 and informed that the subsequent edition shall be released within next few months before November 2016. Editor requested members to contribute more to the journal so as to make it more interesting and useful. He also discussed regarding indexing which would be undertaken once the article flow becomes regular.

The price of 3 issues per year for those who wish to buy additional copies was fixed at Rs. 1000/copy. This was proposed by Dr.N.Periasamy and seconded by Dr.R.Selvakumar. Important discussions arising out of Agenda: 1. The dates for Annual ISACON Tamilnadu State Conference has been fixed for the 2 nd Saturday and Sunday of the Month of July every year. During such conference the Dr.Balakrishnan Oration and Inaugural function to be compulsorily conducted in the forenoon session on Day 1 of the conference (Saturday) only. The Inaugural function timing shall be limited to a period not exceeding 30minutes. The General Body meeting shall be held at 4 pm on Day one of such conference (Saturday) only. There shall be no parallel sessions while the Oration and AGBM is in progress. When ever there is a Zonal conference allotted to Tamilnadu State, the conference shall be held in the month of August only. The above proposals were proposed by Dr.N.Periasamy and Seconded by Dr.R.Selvakumar and Dr.Ranganathan and Dr.Kannan. 2. To strictly adhere to ISA National Guidelines for conducting the elections of office bearers. City branches to be advised to follow similar guidelines. The secretary shall write to individual branches to follow the same. In the event of unavailability of fully eligible candidates as per norms, with the approval of General Body, Floor nominations can be considered for next 3 years only. All the above were proposed by Dr.S.Subramoniam and Seconded by Dr.Meenakshisundaram. 3. Secretary Submitted the Audited account statement received from ISA Madurai City branch following ISACON 2014 for the financial year ended March 2015. The same was submitted to the floor and query regarding the completion of accounts of ISACON 2014 was sought. Since ISA Madurai branch is in itself in a discussion regarding whether or not to pay the service tax portion for the money generated out of ISACON 2014, they are yet to arrive at the final submission of the financial accounts. Therefore it was considered ISA Madurai is yet to submit the Audited financial accounts following ISACON 2014 and was instructed to do so at the earliest. The same may be communicated to ISA National office for their records. Proposed by Dr.A.L.Meenakshi sundaram and Seconded by Dr. Kirubakaran.G.P. 4. Post conference State share Rs.50000/- receivable was mentioned by Secretary and ISA Salem Secretary Dr.Sankar Subramanian submitted the cheque for Rs.50000/- to the state office.

5. ISA Madurai branch was informed once again to increase their Post National conference state contribution by another one lakh. Treasurer of ISACON 2014 Dr.Vijayaraghavan mentioned since the accounts are still pending to be completed, they will do so once the final income statements are arrived. 6. The post conference contribution to the Tamilnadu State has been fixed earlier itself and it was reconfirmed once again in the General body meeting which are as follows: a. Post State Conference contribution Rs.50,000/- b. Post South Zone Conference Contribution Rs. 2,00,000/- c. Post National Conference Contribution Rs.5,00,000/- The above decisions were proposed by Dr.A.L.Meenakshisundaram and Seconded by Dr.Balakrishnan, and Dr.Ranganathan. 7. Incoming President Dr.N.Periyasamy took over the office from Dr.P.Muthukrishnan who inturn presented the President s Medallion to the incoming President. The president Dr.N.Periyasamy delivered the acceptance speech and informed the proposals for the ensuing year 2016-17 which included considerations to start a new branch at Chengalpattu and Kumbakonam. He assured to be supportive for the good work done so far by the present office. 8. Elections for Vice President/President Elect was conducted. There were two nominations for the post from Dr.P.Selvakumar of ISA Madurai and Dr.Edward Johnson of ISA Kanyakumari. Both of them were allowed to deliberate within themselves and come to a decision. Further to which Dr.Edward withdrew his nomination and Proposed the name of Dr.P.Selvakumar for Vice President Post which was seconded by Dr.Kirubakaran. 9.
