10/21/2011 STATEMENT OF ASSURANCE GOOD MORAL CHARACTER Ohio statutes require that teachers be in good moral character. These statutes are embodied in regulations governing teacher education. The Dean of the Beeghly College of Education at Youngstown State University is responsible for recommending individuals for licensure. Standards require that an applicant for licensure be deemed to be of good moral character (rule 3301-23-02) [A] [8] and rules (3301-23-01 to 3301-23-21). Given this responsibility, it is required that you sign this statement regarding good moral character as defined below by the State Board of Education as a condition of admission to and exit from any professional education program in this college.
