New website coming in May All the staff in the Information Technology department (which includes Madison City Channel) have been hard at work updating our website. There are many new features we think will be more user friendly and helpful to our viewers. The schedule is generated more efficiency, so it will always be up to date! We are also changing away from RealMedia as our streaming file type. We have had problems with live streams of this type in the past and heard from many viewers about the difficulty of having Real Player on their computers. We have instead moved to a Windows Media file type, which is native to all Windows users, and a small, safe plugin for our Macintosh users. This change will also allow us to have meetings posted much faster for viewing online, as early as minutes after a meeting finishes. We hope that you will find all these updates useful and enjoy them. If you have questions or concerns about these changes, please feel free to contact us at 608.266.6501 or e-mail citychannel@cityofmadison.com. Learn more about Madison City Channel.
