Grand Prix Research 2010: The Letters Project of Vincent van Gogh Amsterdam, THE NETHERLANDS The jury has highly appreciated the interesting project carried out by the Van Gogh Museum on the Van Gogh letters and in particular the incredible opportunity gave to the entire world of researchers and enthusiasts. Thanks to the digitalization and the free access on internet of the research, it is now possible to read the entire archive of the letters of the painter in their original version and translations. Moreover we really appreciated the possibility to see at the same time the reproduction of the original letter and their iconographic references. The projects on the World scale represents a very good example of diffusion and spreading of the immaterial European cultural heritage, contributing to the safeguard of the original autograph material.
