What is SAVE? The Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program is an intergovernmental information service initiative which verifies the immigration status of benefit applicants. The program is a service that helps federal, state and local benefit-issuing agencies, institutions, and licensing agencies determine the immigration status of benefit applicants so only those entitled to benefits receive them. Is your jurisdiction using the program, and should you be? Learn the benefits, what to do when the system is down and how to handle the many immigration codes.

Verification of Lawful Status Developed at the request of Jurisdictions, VLS offers a mechanism for Driver License Agencies (DLA) to integrate immigration status verification functionality into their driver license issuance processes (using AMIE over AAMVAnet TM or using Web-services over AAMVAnet or the Internet) A single interface system for all verification systems provides: o o o Increased security Reduced data entry Better logging and auditing
UNI/AMIE vs Web Services UNI/AMIE Easy to implement in a mainframe / Windows environment Integrate using UNI, a familiar interface already used for other AAMVAnet applications (CDLIS, PDPS, SSOLV, etc.) Provides message management tools such as the UNI site table security, message logging, timeout, etc.
UNI/AMIE vs Web Services Web Services Easy to implement in a UNIX or Windows.Net environment Use of XML/NIEM message format Better support for digital files (photos & G-845) Electronic upload of G-845 and source documents

RIDE Program Update June 23, 2015 AAMVA Region II Conference
What Is RIDE? An enhancement to the E-Verify program that verifies the validity of driver s license and ID card information by matching the data entered by employers against jurisdiction records. A partnership between USCIS, AAMVA, and state motor vehicle offices. Nearly 80 percent of employees present a driver s license or ID card as proof of identity. Driver s license or ID Card 78% 22% Other document
Why RIDE Is Important Employment eligibility verification requires proof of identity and employment authorization. E-Verify checks SSA and DHS records to verify employment authorization. + RIDE addresses the issue of individuals who present fake identity documents using valid data that will match SSA records.
RIDE Today Legend Participating in RIDE Planning to Launch North Dakota RIDE launched on June 15, 2015.
