Record of Proceedings Minutes of the May 18, 2017 Regular Meeting OTSEGO LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION Meeting Number 2017-08 Call to Order called to order the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education for the Otsego Local School District on May 18, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the High School Library. Also present: Mr. Koch (Superintendent) and Mrs. Ford (Treasurer). Present Mr. Digby Present Present Mr. McQuillin Present Present Present Present Pledge of Allegiance led the Pledge of Allegiance. Approval of the Minutes moved to approve the minutes, seconded. 17-62 Minutes Approval declared the motion carried. Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the Children s Resource Center 2017-18 agreement per Exhibit 10, seconded 17-70 CRC FY18 declared the motion carried. Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the agreement to conduct Otsego athletic program in accordance with the OHSAA and to approve membership, seconded 17-71 OHSAA FY18 declared the motion carried. FIRST READING: Athletic Coach s Handbook per Exhibit 11 and Athletic Code of Conduct per Exhibit 12 Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the following handbooks and code of conduct per Exhibits G-K, seconded 17-72 Final Readings/ Approval of Handbooks/ Code of Conduct declared the motion carried. Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the board policy updates per Exhibit L, seconded 17-73 Final Reading/ Approval of Board Policy Updates declared the motion carried.

Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the agreement with HPC from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020 per Exhibit 18, seconded 17-74 HPC FY18-20 declared the motion carried. \ Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the tech service agreement with NBEC for FY18 per Exhibit 19, seconded declared the motion carried. 17-75 NBEC Tech FY18 Upon recommendation by the Superintendent, moved to approve the 2017-18 breakfast and lunch prices as follows: Elementary Breakfast $1.50 Lunch $2.75 and High School/Junior High Breakfast $1.50 Lunch $3.00, seconded 17-76 FY18 Cafeteria Prices declared the motion carried. Old Business None New Business: moved to schedule a special board meeting for 6/5/17 at 6 p.m. in the H.S. Library, seconded declared the motion carried. 17-77 Special Board Meeting

moved to move the June board meeting to 6/29/17 at 6 p.m. in the H.S. Library, seconded 17-78 Regular June Board Meeting declared the motion carried. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Board, moved, seconded Board approval to adjourn the meeting. 17-79 Adjournment 7:03 pm declared the motion carried. Certificate of Available Resources Section ORC 5705.412 IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED the Otsego Local School District Board of Education, Wood County, Ohio has sufficient funds to meet the contract agreement, obligation, payment or expenditure for the above, and has in effect for the remainder of the fiscal year and the succeeding fiscal year the authorization to levy taxes which, when combined with the estimated revenue from all other sources available to the district at the time of certification, are sufficient to provide operating revenues necessary to enable the district to operate an adequate educational program on all the days set forth in its adopted school calendar for the current fiscal year equal to the number of days instruction was held or is scheduled for the current fiscal year. Board President Treasurer Comments: See ORC 5705.412 This certificate must be attached to any contract or order involving the expenditure of money with certain statutory exceptions.
