The offices of President and Treasurer run for two years, the offices of Secretary and Net Director run for one year. WAWA Newsletter Page 2 (Continued from page 1) out for the January date, since this is a meeting date, the club will set up a station at the Jr. High School for any visitors. Club Web Site It was noted that the club's email address had gotten out of date and that mail was forwarded to bad accounts. Mike/ N1NAF will be looking into this and will make sure any corrections are made. The 2003 calendar of events were review. The updates will be made to the clubs website. Post Office Box Ron (W1SSF) received all keys to our post office box and will officially terminate our use of PO BOX 1646. A change of address card will be filed with the post office to forward any mail to our new address. ARRL Affiliation The club is checking into the merits of getting affiliated with the ARRL. This requires a club membership base consisting of at least 51% of ARRL members. This discussion was tabled for the January Meeting. Proposal A motion was raised to recognize the contributions made by Dick(KA1KHM) who has graciously donated his generator for the club's Field Day outing these last couple of years by making him an honorary member. The motion was passed unanimously. Repeater News (Continued on page 3)

WAWA Newsletter Page 3 (Continued from page 2) Several members of the club are in the process of assembling a 2 meter repeater. This is being funded privately with several members contributing parts. The only thing left is the purchasing of the crystals which will be delayed until a coordinated frequency has been obtained. The group is looking for funds to finish the project. As for the location, a site is in mind but has to be confirmed. The primary use of the repeater will be for Voice and slow scan activities. Red Cross Discussions were raised about the club getting active with the local Red Cross. Ron mentioned that there were problems in the timing and coordination efforts made earlier and will make another attempt to see if our services still can be used. Miscellaneous The club authorized the expenditure of no more than $25 for the purchase of a strong box for club papers.
