General Information EUNIS EUNIS is the European University Information Systems Organization. It was formed in 1993. It has been registered as a non-profit organization in Paris, France in 1998. EUNIS brings together those who are responsible for the management, development and the policy for Information Technology in Higher Education in Europe. The objective of EUNIS is to contribute to the development of high quality information systems. To achieve this, the aims of EUNIS are: Encourage exchanges, cooperation and debates between those responsible for information systems and University CIO in higher education or research institutes/organizations within Europe; Establish relationships with supervisory organizations in charge of information systems in higher education and in research institutes in each country as well as at European level. EUNIS ANNUAL CONGRESS EUNIS Congress is leading ICT congress in Higher education in Europe since 1998 that attract a large audience (300-400 professionals). They represent an opportunity for sharing of experience amongst international specialists, users, researchers, decision-makers, and teaching staff from all over Europe. Moreover, it is a very good event to present and publish the latest results of research, development, and deployment of Information Technology in HEIs. Riga Technical University, located in Riga, Latvia, will host the 19th EUNIS Congress.

EUNIS 2013 Venue and Events Congress venue will be held at the International Exhibition Center BT 1, which is situated within Riga Technical University Campus. Full service International Exhibition Center BT 1 organizes high-level international and national exhibitions, forums and fairs, as well as has been participating as a coorganizer in different events held by its cooperation partners. This venue serves best the needs of EUNIS 2013 Congress, because of highly professional and responsible attitude to work, experience accumulated through years that allowed BT 1 to take the leading position among Latvian and Baltic exhibition organizers. Poster presentations Traditionally at EUNIS Congress all participants are encouraged to present a poster. Posters will be on display for the entire Congress period and provide participants an excellent opportunity for networking. As with the session discussions, the poster session will be conducted off the record to encourage frank discussion and presentation of unconfirmed or partial results. Exhibition During the Congress Exhibition will take place where the leading Information Technology companies will display their solutions for Higher Education Institutions. Participation at the Exhibition is a great opportunity to meet the Higher Education Institution professionals from all around Europe and introduce them with new IT services and products.
Social program will offer wide range of social events, which offer the possibility to communicate in more in-formal atmosphere and find new partners and customers. The EUNIS Elite Award for Excellence - This award is organized by the EUNIS Executive Secretary, who will make a separate call for submissions for the award through the EUNIS website. The award is an honorary award. The EUNIS Dørup E-learning Award - This award is organized by a subgroup of the EUNIS E-learning Task Force led by a person appointed by the Board.

Organizers Riga Technical University Riga Technical University is the first technical university in the Baltic countries its history dates back to 1862 when Riga Polytechnic was founded.
